Watching that makes me want to get a cheap bus to London and take part.....too bad I have to work I think my sister might be interested in taking part though...the more the better!
they are happening in many cities across the UK... http://www.occupytogether.org/actions/ and you don't have to be a permanent fixture... you could just pop in on a day when you not working and say hi to show support if you want... i'm sure you will be welcomed
ooh...I even found an ''Occupy Bristol''. It looks pretty small, but it'd be much easier for me to get to. Are you involved in any of them, lillally?
So what exactly is the agenda of the occupy movement? I personally think it is to keep the unhappy people busy with no agenda, and thus not voting or acting in any manner that equates to any form of change. I can not change anything from the comfort of my own home, but I will meet less people. So basically I think the occupy movement is a place to meet chicks or dudes, whichever you prefer. Girls who like boys who like girls who make signs......
i think the common agenda is to put an end to the endemic corrupt relationships between politics, media, the judicial system and corporations... that is what i am there for anyway and i have heard many others speaking of this...
and some tarpaulins, tents, sleeping bags, chamomile tea and lots of water... my warm boots and a thermos flask... a toothbrush, inconti-pants you know... the usual
well, i will have to pop home now and then to do stuff, but i am expecting to stay till the end... as long as it takes...
Uniting peoples is difficult bit not impossible. Though different circumstances I remember the power of the people if not wholeheartedly succeeding 'on the day' then certainly breaking the back of discrimination and foreign war. (1 min 23 to 1 min -32 = an eerie reminder of how governing concern felt that the issue should be addressed in 1968) Quite simply we need, and have, to be 'United' in stance and have faith. For divided we will fall, and faith, can move mountains
Hows it going there then, lillally? Not getting too cold at nights? If its still going next time I'm in London I'll definately drop round...
Fuckkkk !! A would have went to this had a known, if its still on next week al go ...woop woop, am 10 mins away from here in the train. Edit - Heres the Occupy Edinburgh Facebook for anyone in the area http://www.************/Occupyedinburgh?sk=wall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKZS98rL-30&feature=related"]Occupy Edinburgh - Day One: Street March - YouTube
there's a difference between a 'stand for change' and being a general nuisance. all it means is until christmas at least a banker will almost certainly sleep better than anybody else because at least they have the common sense to sleep in their warm beds.
