Screw BoA, in another attempt to screw the little guy. They are sticking it to the aforementioned group of people with a plan to start charging customers 5/month if they use there debit card for a transaction even once in that month! Tell them to stop nickle and diming the average customer (as if we need one more large corporation/govt office to do so) and vote with your wallet and feet by walking away from this SHIT bank! By Jan. 2012, out of BoA! Ugh, Money sucks.
I'd think that sitting on the TARP billions would make new fees unnecessary... oh wait- we're supposed to forget the corporate welfare financed by Uncle Sham.
I just got a Boa credit card. It's introductory 0% is much longer than a lot of competitors. I'll continue to use it. I don't, however, have a checking account with them, which makes sense because there isn't a boa within a couple thousand mile radius.
every bank sucks, its a fundamental issue. every bank needs to continually expand their profits and themselves to stay afloat. they are ponzi schemes afterall... what is mentioned of bank of america is happening for many other banks also. but it definitely seems like the bad press makes a difference, keep with the intuitive protest y'all. but what should be noted is this tendencey will NEVER go away until drastic changes inthe fundamental system. hopeless thought for all i guess haha, goodnight
Credit Unions are non-profit.. so they can always be reliable to offer the cheapest interest rates on loans.. but on the other hand.. their return rate on savings isn't nothing to rant about
i luckly have a student account with TD bank even since being out of college that is free with no minimum amount needed, but with everything going on lately i probably will begin to get charged soon..... i only use it to pay bills. otherwise my cash is in bank raz. also OP do you have original article to this? my boy uses BOA and the last thing we need is him to get charged for unnecessary things.
I'm convincing my brother and husband to close their BoA accounts. The fees aren't worth it and it is a shitty bank all around. My husband just paid $5 for a replacement debit card since his was 3 years old and completely worn out. Not to mention, my brother's account had a security breach last year...we still don't know what information they might have gained when his account was hacked..
