    Hi there everyone,
My name is Mike and I am a 25 year old wilderness guide and outfitter in northern Mn. I have been working as a guide and outfitter for about six years now and am interested in heading out west (Ca, Wa, Or, Nv, Nm...) to find a place to live and work in my off season which extends from October to May. All in all I dont realy care if I end up at an intenernational community, commune, or at a private residence or buisness. I am simply looking for a place I can earn my keep with minimal cost while exploreing an area of the country that is new and wild to me. If anyone knows of a place where I can make this happen please let me know. I have a ton of experiance building and maintaining cabins and homesteads. I have worked in construction and can do anything from septic work to roofing. I also studied hydrology and soil sciences at UW-Stevens point and have extensive knowledge in the fields of hortoculture, (legal) Hydroponics, Organic Chemistry, and many other fields relating to natural resource managment.
If that plan falls through I will probably end up road tripping untill I find a secluded place to set up camp in the back country and relax for a few months befor heading back up to the Boundry Waters Canoe Area for anouther season next May. Currently I'm in Southern Wisconsin and am planning for the next few months.
Any advice or leads would be much appreciated,
    -Mike

    hello and welcome!

now that you've introduced yourself, you might want to post your particular questions in a related forum

the camping/outdoor living forum might be good

    hope that things work out!
