The Book of Lost Things

I adore this book. Has anyone read it?

It's one of my favorite books EVER. So magical

 

This book was soo dark. I couldn't read it at night, because it was so scary. But then, I had the same problem with Doctor Who...

But I really liked it. It's well written and thought out. I could relate to most of the characters (well...see their point). The scary fairy tales were really intriguing, but those are probably also a point of content for some people. Could be a bit much, since most of them are quite disturbing.

Definitely a high quality magical realism book. At least that's what I'd call it. Reminds me a lot of the film Pan's Labyrinth.

 

I have a copy laying around in my room. Never got a chance to read it but i hear its a very good book. Very dark indeed, looking forward to catching up on all the books i haven't read

I love this book, a really great imaginative read I really enjoy the retelling of all the stories in it also.

 

LOL I had the same problem! It is a very "dark" book. It was good however, I enjoyed it. I also just read "Lingering in the Woods" It's an "EmotoSingle" and I fell in love with it. One of my top 10 thus far
