i grew up in a generation where photographs where seen as ultimate evidence of fact, a niave trusting continuation of the proletariate who believed that their elders and betters would work for the greater good, unaware of the pre photoshop photographs of stalin, capa, and the charlatan spiritualists, the truth of science stamped photography with the empirical certainty of physics and chemistry, now even the most ignorant of us are aware of photoshop, a four assed monkey picture does not need to be disproved, the onus is on the photographer to prove it was indeed bush naked, its not photography thats lost its integrity its science, je suis perdu.........

Things evolve. Like cinema, we now have better special effects. Yes, now we have to second guess and be more weary of what we see in photographs. However, this is where credibility shines. If you can get a photo from a credible source, great. This only will push standards higher.

I see photography as another art form. What it shows should reflect the photographer's perception, if he/she has any idea what they're doing. Solid fact? There might be hidden stories underneath the "facts" the photograph show. Always good to keep your mind open.
