um, no they do not.. its likely some may. but not all do.. If the court took funds from the inmates account. It is not the same as paying for if yourself.. Its only 10% of funds anyways and can be averted by sending the inmate 10 dollars at a time.. Inmate may apply for indigent status and not have to pay a single cent. If you would like to explain how and inmate with 24hr (death row) lock down, no rec, or CI job pays for fines, Id love to hear it.. meanwhile death row inmates probably eat better meals than 1/2 the people here, and have health care access during normal institutional operations hours. 2 dollar fee no matter the service... health care services for previous conditions prior to incarcerations are Free.. Diabetes, high blood pressure, eye care... you name it. And all the toilet paper and water, electricity you wish to waste. Did you know there are inmates that take showers 3 times a day.. Try doing that at home and see what you water bill is. It must be nice to play basketball 3times a day, sit on your ass an watch cable tv, get free meals, laundry service, hair cuts and cosmetics. All FREE.. So it really dont matter of the inmate does pay a measly 10% out iof their funds. The rest is FREE.. Oh my bad. I suppose our taxes pay for all that FREE stuff..
Used generically in the DOJ, debt includes both criminal debt (such as fines and restitution, including interest and penalties for late payment; special assessments; and forfeited bail bonds) and civil debt (such as money owed on an educational loan from the Department of Education and money owed to the Department of Health and Human Services/Medicare, as a result of a health care fraud). Population figures are excerpted from BOP's FY 2001 budget submission. The judge may also waive financial penalties based on information in the Pre-Sentence Investigation Report that the offender has no ability to pay such penalties. :Such as "killed parents" A sentenced offender's obligation to pay a special assessment ceases five years after the date judgment was imposed. Inmates who fail to pay their assessments during the five-year period become absolved of this responsibility. A defendant's obligation to pay restitution ceases 20 years after the inmate's release from incarceration for inmates convicted on or after April 24, 1996. A defendant's obligation to pay restitution ceases on a circuit-by-circuit basis for inmates convicted prior to April 24, 1996. A defendant's obligation to pay a fine ceases 20 years after the date judgment was imposed for inmates convicted prior to April 24, 1996. A defendant's obligation to pay a fine ceases 20 years after the inmate's release from incarceration for inmates convicted on or after April 24, 1996. SENTRY is an online, real-time database management system that monitors the system-wide movement and management of inmates, including sentence computations, work assignments, program assignments, institution designation, administrative remedies, discipline, and inmate financial responsibility. Many programs such as the IFRP are organized in this database as modules for ease of information updates and data retrieval. The courts may impose financial penalties that are not due until the inmate is on supervised release. The U.S. Probation Office is responsible for collecting payment for these debts..
If I go and kill someone tomorrow, my assets will be ceased and the money put towards my fees. Now, if I didn't have a pot to piss in or a cat to throw it at, can't get blood out of a turnip. I'm not saying it's not expensive. I understand your anger regarding free medical care for prisoners, but you can't abuse wards of the state and we can't afford to give all diabetics free supplies. If someone has type I diabetes and is in prison, it has to be treated. It's better than ridiculous lawsuits by some scummy family who doesn't really care that Uncle Greg died of renal failure. What's your suggestion? Not punish people or let them die due to diseases that are cheap and very treatable? Should we not treat STDs and let them overrun prisons? Seems unfair for some poor sucker who shouldn't be there to die of syphilis when he was falsely convicted. ETA: We've gotten way off topic, but I believe in fair, consistent treatment across the board, whether you're a super stud or an old lady having sex in public, or a murderer, or whatever.
its not off topic what so ever. We're expecting grampa and granny there to pay a fine thats about 1/2 their SSI checks. You think thats fair while some death row inmate who's terrorized the parking lot with an assault rifle gets a free ride to the dentist chair anytime they want. They dont even need to catch a cab or a bus, find a ride or anything. Simply fill out a medical form and be seen the following work day. If granny has to pay her fine immediately, what she to do if she has a tooth ache, when she cant afford it? Though MR/MS murderer dont have to worry about that.. Im sure the 2 dollar co pay will come out of next months pay, or money dropped into their account. Try doing that with a real dentist.. Ill pay you later, youll have constables at your house getting the dentists payment. Inmates abuse the medical system in the institution. Sometimes going to the doctors stocking up on medications and mailing them out in legal envelopes for use at home. My dad couldn't afford to pay for his cancer meds and diabetic medication. But some fucking creepo rapist with cancer and diabetes gets all the meds they want for FREE.. oops maybe 2 dollars, poor inmate has a skin rash can buy anti fungal in commissary ., nope instead uses the state to pay for his rash. How many rashes do I and everyone else outside the wall need to pay for? If you have type 1 diabetes maybe you shouldnt be committing crimes in the first place. Its all good cause the state will take care of you. If you add up all the little whatnots. You can clearly see why there are no prison riots across the country. Its a nice place to live. Ive worked in more prisons in Pennsylvania than 90% the inmates have even been in. I could tell you everything there is from one institution to the next, other than the 3 women prisons we have here. ITs AN INDUSTRY. Its made to make money, and use human beings like a cattle drive. Its the same business that is going to catch up with grampa and granny if they dont pay their fines. They'll be rearrested simply because they can. Its all good and dandy cause the police get paid regardless of how many times they need to pick them up. So lets say granny skips her fine and they send constables to the home to get her. That's another fee. Another trip in front the judge. Meanwhile grannys cat ran away cause the pigs didnt close the door properly and her house was robbed and all her medication was stolen. The police dont have no suspects and the cat was abducted by some homeless women, than was probably in the same position as granny 2 yrs ago. I dont know the prior history of this couple .. $785.00 is excessive and abuse by the courts. Its wasn't like the pulled loaded guns on the cops. They were 2 old people in a car having sex. If this was a van nobody would even know. Do you realize how much money a court could make if they made cost and fines affordable within reason. The Eighth Amendment (Amendment VIII) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights which prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishments.
Yeah , she looks REAL happy in the mug shot . The dude doesn't however. I bet it was like throwing a hot-dog down a hallway . With some dry dusty clouds all around . Imagine being the cop who had to handcuff and put her in back of his squad car , to hall her in . I bet he got an earful , and a wet backseat .
so what ? it's only sex. they should go back ta one a them restaurants again sometime together, an walk in an clear a table,an have sex on it right there in front of all them mean people that got them arrested.go granny!
