Alright so I know this isn't a real documentary per-say, but it's done in the style of such so I'm posting here. The premise behind the movie is these Norwegian College Students start following what they assume is a bear poacher, and they eventually get on the path off trying to find what they thought were only in fairytales, Trolls! Sounds pretty ridiculous so far right? Well this is an independently made film, but the cgi effects are believable and don't take away from the immersion in the slightest. Without spoiling too much I just wanted to say as a frequent movie-watcher this is one of the most enjoyable film experiences I've had in several years, just a very fun ride throughout the entire film and with one of the most badass movie characters I've seen in years! Really should check it out.
It was reviewed in the October edition of Fortean Times and rated 9 out of 10. That's usually a good sign. .
Hey guys, I once saw a movie that I can't find anymore (forgot it's name as well). I looked for troll movies but somehow I get everything except that one. It was a swedish or danish movie about a viking community going after a pretty human like troll that has some link to that community. It was filmed very raw/realistic and slow paced, not your standard action or fantasy movie at all. Lots of nature shots as well. Anybody knows what I'm talking about and remember the name? I really like to find it again (also like to recommend it to every fantasy/mythologicial/folklore fan)
I hope you have more luck! By the way the troll in this movie looked more human like. I'm not sure if it's actually a swedish or danish production but I think so since that was the language that was spoken. It was really made to look authentic.
Isn't the word Troll atributed to those of advanced years - Grumpy old folk if you will? Oh gosh, that's me -lol
Just watched this movie last night, it was awesome! was not expecting much from it and was surprised at how good it was as well as funny.
