anyone used the wool rubbing dread method ?

I'm trying it now with a wool beret i've got on. My hair is already in dead bad condition. I wanted to do natural dreads but i read it takes on average 3 years to be awsum ,i cannae wait that long! so i'm just accelerating it a little bit, feels goooood

 

That depends on your definition of awesome, and no it doesn't anyway.

 

3 years? nah, not that long. even with neglect, you can see dreads forming around 6 months, maybe a year. and with "made" dreads, it's like 3 months. and 6 months before they look cool.
wool kinda accelerates it, but mostly it just makes it congo more since it's frizzing up those loosies.

 

6 months =locks, a year = awesome locks.

 

yeah, all my backbrushing totally fell out, but it's only been a month since I stopped combing and it's already locking up.

try it. you'll probably have to rip a lot more but wool rubbing seems to work pretty well

 

Mhhh, for a while I was wearing my wool hat and my roots got REALLY tight and knotty. I say yes to the wool!
