I'm also a proud tree-hugging hippie liberal from the state of Kentucky (Gatewood for Governor!). I've just recently began a relationship with a super-duper wonderful woman, to whom I intend to be hand-fasted someday. Yes, it's exactly what they do. And the leftover rubble is used to fill valleys around the mountain. They destroy whole rivers and ecosystems like this. Check out www.mountainjustice.org for more information on this disgusting practice.
