What techniques have you guys successfully used to induce lucid dreams? I've only ever had a lucid dream ONCE, and the instant I realized I was dreaming I woke up which makes me sooo mad even to this day. Lucid dreaming sounds fucking incredible.
Im interested in this to. I used to try a few different techniques but forgot which ones. I might start researching it again though.
Not sure what comprises lucid dreaming, as opposed to vivid dreaming. I find that if I take a vitamin B supplement before bed, I have vivid dreams. I've read that it's the B6 that does it. It's repeatable, so I know it works. But as to lucid dreaming,, I remember dreaming that I was awake, lying on my bed, looking across the room, when I was a young lad. I could see the things in my room, and yet it wasn't exactly as my room was. That's when I realized that I was dreaming that I was awake. Shortly afterward, I would wake up, from sheer willpower. I think, in a way, I was afraid that if I didn't force-awake that I would never wake up. I think the sense of desperation actually woke me up. I do remember being somewhat disappointed that when I awoke, I didn't have all the cool stuff in my room that I seemed to have while asleep.
get a dream journal. writing them down makes you remember them more. i've also tried the tick of putting a dot on my palm and saying "i'm not dreaming. i am awake" when i see it so i know to look at my hand when i am asleep and there is no dot.
