i got a dvd of the golden girls and at the beginning i did not like the idea of even playing it, it was not so appealing to me..but i watched one episode and i ended up liking it very much, especially the little grand ma replies, it is very funny and entertaining..who likes it too?
I used to love watching this back in the 80's on UK 'Channel 4'. And you're right, the 'gran' character (Sophia Petrillo, mother of Dorothy) has the best lines. I missed the last season, believe it or not, I'll have to track it down on a warez site.
I'm a guy, but I enjoy shows like this because of almost everything... especially when the other three girls insult Rose.The way I see it, no matter how many times you've seen this show, it's always funny.
yes that s what i like, you can lye down and watch 2 episodes and you always relax with it, entertaining show!the granny with her sicily stories is hilarious! did you see the show where she is throwing a sicilian curse on the neighbour next door?gepopes what is the problem if you are a guy, it should not stop you to watch the shows you like, my husband is the one that made me watch the golden girls by getting the dvds! how many seasons do they have and when did the show stop? somebody knows? are they still alive today?

yes, but a mix of the qualities only,the best of the three will make a real super golden girl!it is funny how today we are not interested by women of this age, maybe it is our society that has been created that , pure young pretty girls everywhere, and when you get older as a woman you realise that you will soon look like these golden girl, and you feel the injustice of appearance what appearance can mean to somebody s eyes .. when you come closer to this age you say to yourself that finally this grey hair does not mean nothing, but the younger folks do not understand that, and look at you the way you did it to others at their age.. the topic of this show could be also how to grab your last years with maximum life..and that friendship and company is something you can find at any age to sweeten your life, and finally people can be funny and interesting at any age!

The Golden Girl's are so funny. I like Rose (Betty White) the best. She is the old version of Krissy on "Threes Company" lol. Her St. Olaff (spelling) stories are so funny, and it's hilarious how much she irritates Dorothy with them. I've always enjoyed watching that show. It's like potato chips, you just can't watch one episode lol.
