what strain(s) do you have right now?

just picked up a fresh bag of purple kush, and still have a couple grams each of hashplant, master kush, and og kush x alien tech.

I got some purple stuff right now. I posted pics of it in the weed pics thread. Its a nice indica

 

Apparently it is called Bubblegum. It is some outdoor stuff and it is pretty good.

Have some Blue Dream, Grand Daddy Purps, and a bit of Skunk.

Blue Dream is my favorite by far. Maybe even my favorite strain.

I went to my dispensary in calif. in May to get my stash for the remainder of the year. I came home with.
An ounce of LA confidential, which became a nice batch of brownies.
An ounce of Blue Dream (huge buds , very dense and powerful).
An ounce of OG Kush ( I have this as Number two, but dont know why)
An ounce Of Platinum Headband. (number three, The buds are a little loose , (maybe harvested and cured late)?

Im not half way through the stash yet. Probably wont need to return for refill until the first of the year.

 

some kind of diesel strain

 

Hawaiian Sour, Hawaiian Snocap, Sour Diesel, Bio Diesel, LA Diamond, Headband, Happy Jack. I haven't yet decided which one does the best for me, but the Bio Diesel and the LA Diamond both help me to sleep. The Bio is fairly long-lasting, and I'm still feeling it the next day when I get up.

The LA Diamond is identified as an indica. The Bio Diesel acts like an indica. The others are all listed as sativas, but some are more, or less buoyant, as sativas are supposed to be.

I'm still gettin' the hang of it, after about a 20-30 year hiatus.

Used to be,,"Let's spark up a j,," "Let's smoke some doobies",,

Now it's,,"Hmm,,let's see,,which one shall I have,,and how?"

Things are more complicated, with more choices,,way more choices. The complexity of it all sometimes seems to compete with the simplicity of just "getting high",,

I've been using a small pipe, for convenience, but my fav is just to smoke a joint. With a joint, for some reason, I can gauge how much does what for me. Otherwise, I'm never quite sure of the strength. Hits off a pipe are inconsistent, since I put very little in the pipe, just enough for one hit, and it's not always the same. I'm trying not to kill my lungs here.

I think joints are better, actually, and I think science has proven that. Joints tend to act as their own filtration system, with the unburnt part filtering the burning part. I've read that bongs filter out quite a bit of the active ingredient (but you get bigger hits). Pipes offer no filtration at all.

I'm not sure about vaping yet. I've tried making my own, and failed. I used a soldering iron, without the tip, but it seemed as if I was getting something that gave me adverse effects, perhaps some metallic vapors along with the THC.

Had some Charlie Sheen, and some Blueberry Supreme, but it's all gone. The Sheen was an indica, good for sleep, and the Blueberry was a sativa, good to the taste.

I miss the old days, when the varieties of pot were more identified by their locality of origin, so you could tell more about what you were getting. Now it seems the original strains have been all crossed and hybridded out, unless someone has some rare original strains.

Just picked up some Moby Dick yesterday, used to be one of my favorite strains but there is just so much of it around these parts since it has such a high yield. This particular batch is perfect though.

 

I have some blue dream and grandaddy purple...

Gotta say, I'm not impressed with either of them.

The only good thing is coming down, I don't get so tired or get the headaches I usually get.

But the high overall isn't that great in my opinion

 

i have a bud of Pineapple Express that I stashed away.. unfortunately it's gonna be gone tomorrow.. but it'll be a for a glorious occasion! I'll be breaking in my new glass

 

post some pictures. and screw strain names. that shit is made up. even clinics make that shit up. I can go to one clinic and get grand daddy purps then go to the next clnic and get grand daddy purps and they look completely different and sometimes one is dense and the other is soft but they both have the same strain name yet one is indica and one is sativa? I never trust strain names. I just check density either its outdoor hybrid or sativa and its dank or not.

I will say though that kush strains are easy to indentify and are a very commonly grown strain everywhere in the world.

 

strain names are very real.. it helps educated smokers make wise decisions.. especially when shopping at a dispensary.. different strains give different types of highs and work better for different ailments... also there is gonna be some variety in how a strain looks depending on its growing conditions... and then there are shady dispensaries that rip people off by making up names..

I think I'll visit a different dispensary next time. Someone told me that's the way to go, since you get free stuff every time you go to a new dispensary for the first time.

I'd like to know that I'm getting what I can recognize, but I'm not knowledgeable enough yet to recognize the strains by feel, smell, or look.

I can smell the diesel, and some of my strains smell "lemony". I really like the ones that leave a decidedly interesting "flavor" in my mouth after taking a hit.

Seems to be a shitload of websites now, with cannabis forums. Too many to choose from.
