Okay, yeah, I'm addicted. I got my four wisdom teeth extracted like four weeks ago, and they gave me Vicodin. However, my need for the little white pills didn't subside over the course of four weeks, like the pain did. My primary care doctor won't prescribe me anymore, because I'm guessing its gotten to the point of "drug seeking behavior" (WTF?!) I went to the ER last night to see if I could get lucky, and both hospitals I went to, sent me home with Asprin. I tried calling the advice nurse through Kaiser, but no such luck. They won't gimme shit! They've caught on, and I'm having withdrawals like a bitch.
Nobody with a tooth ache prescription should be having withdraws.. There isnt enough medication given when pulling teeth for this to occur.. Wisdom teeth pain will last a few days. Not weeks.. Dentist have been doing this a long time. They are not stupid.
then go through your withdrawals and be happy you're not continuing on your way to a lifelong addiction
And the stupid one here is Kaiser? :nopity: Exactly how well did you think being addicted to Vicodin was going to go?
I think that your 'withdrawals' are mainly made up in your head. The reason they give out a specific duration of Vicodin (usually 30 pills) is because if you JUST take that amount, you can go off of it cold turkey with NO withdrawal. Although I AM an opioid addict, before I got deeply into opioids, there were two occasions where I had injuries and they gave me Vicodin. Both times, I got 20 pills. Both times, I took them all and enjoyed them very much. However, when they were gone, I was able to just stop taking them and I had no withdrawals. Sure, I was 'sad' that my opioids were gone, but I wasn't suffering the HORRIFYING symptoms of opioid withdrawal, which SINCE then, I HAVE experienced. Trust me, you KNOW if you have opioid w/d or not! Don't worry much, OP. You might be a little 'down' for a few weeks because of having to go back to life 'opioid-free,' but you will be fine.
Point taken. I need to learn to read the OP's username, post count, and relevant signs as to their character.
Seems like there are a lot of trolls around here lately. I've never understood why anyone would want to waste their time doing something like that, so strange.
Welp, I finally got prescription (Foreign people who are doctors will fucking prescribe you anything you want). Thing is, I actually do have legitimate pain.
Radiation take your mom's hormone replacement supplements as a substitute for the vikings little wing of the withdrawals listen to change Maybe you should take your mom's hormone replacement lense supplements because they will lower the lesson the withdrawals of the vykadin and it will know to help you notice a really good change
Hey man, I'm having orange juice withdrawls.... this is the emergency room, you can help with that, right? Whats this, apple juice? Now I'm gunna hurt for OJ! Seriously. If you take away my coffee I'll have worse WD's than kicking hydrocodone. Grow some balls. You're either a troll, or trying desperately to be addicted.... good luck, the stars are not shining upon your endeavors.
Dude, you are probabaly fine by now, but I'm told Zofran helps with WD. It's an off-label use, but should it happen again and you have some, it might be worth a try.
If you're still having legitimate pain, my amateur recommendation is to see your dentist and have him finish the job. The problem is not in the pharmaceutical... it will mask your pain for a few hours but your mouth is still all fucked up once you come down. You probably should have complained of the pain and had them take a look before you came out with "gimme vicodin"
