I love putting my feet on a hot water bottle; especially when I'm going to sleep. Also, you can fill up plastic drink bottles with hot water and pack them all around you. It's pretty awesome.

my boss is not always right even though he would like to think so. we are making a bore that's 4.687" diameter 10" long and has to be dead nuts the same diameter from one end to the other. the way he told me to compensate for any taper in the bore in his incorrect theory works the same way that one would either compensate or intentionally turn a taper on the outside diameter of a shaft. well, that doesn't work in a bore. if a person is so inclined they can put a shaft in a lathe at any degree angle, bore a hole in it, and the angle its held isn't going to change any taper in the bore. the actual way to fix it is the same way one would set up a lathe to turn true in the first place: get twist out of the bed by shimming under the feet.
