Hey guys, I am probably going to pick up a couple of strips of acid in the next few days. Besides wrapping them in tin foil, putting them in a plastic baggy, and putting that in the freezer what are foolproof methods I can use to ensure that they only minimally deteriorate after keeping them for extended periods of time. Possibly up to 6 months. Thanks all :hippy:
6 months? Forget the freezer. I've had some for years at room temp 80-90. Keep out of light and humidity. I wrap in saran wrap THEN foil, then use dessicant or uncoocked white rice. (it absorbs moisture) Put in airtight container and store in a dark area that doesn't have a drastic change in temp. Foil begins to oxidize in time so use saran then a foil wrap to squeeze out air and block out light. So far 3 years stored like that and it's still good. And I live in a humid warm climate.
6 months is definitely not long term you'll be fine with what you're doing. It will keep for 6 years that way, and probably 60 years.
Perhaps store it legitimately long term, put it in a time capsule in case acid doesn't exist in 25 years forbid.
