I'm still trying to get into the thot process of those greedy fucks. BOA did not think ppl would get pissed at another little money grab? They thot that ppl would not take their money elsewhere? Hope there is at least some BOA executives out here with the other unemployed now. :2thumbsup: When BOA announced that and a couple other banks followed, I checked with my own bank and they were quick to post online that they were not going to charge for card use.
Based on the responses of a nationwide survey of 5,000 credit unions, CUNA estimates that at least 650,000 consumers across the nation have joined credit unions since September 29 (the day Bank of America unveiled its now-rescinded $5 monthly debit card fee). Also during that time, CUNA estimates that credit unions have added $4.5 billion in new savings accounts, likely from the new members and existing members shifting their funds. http://www.occupyboston.org/
I was unable to move my bank account over the weekend, but plan on moving my money to a much smaller, local bank here in Nashville, tomorrow. I've had BoA for far too long, and once I heard about the fees they were going to start charging us with, I got fed up. Now, I know where my money will be going!
Wow! Good for member owned credit unions. Now hopefully the Credit Unions will offer superior service and benefits to its members. I want to see CU's offer on site bill paying and financial services like Wal-mart has been doing. I should be able to make a utility payment at my credit union.
