I can't grow my beard because I'm on the local fire department, and I need my face shaved for wearing the breathing apparatus. Here's what I looked like before I shaved it off.

my brother does it every year for the past 5 years.

He's actually gone all of October this year, so far.

Maybe I'll join in on the no-shave-November

I didn't even realize there was such a thing as no-shave November, BUT interestingly, I decided to grow a full beard (from a goatee I had) about two weeks ago. So people might think I am participating in such an event. However, I will not shave it after the month is over. I like to keep a beard through the winter. It keeps my skin on my face warm and moisturized.

    Like 2 months ago I started no-shave-for-potentially-the-rest-of-my-life-or-until-i-feel-like-it.

    Does that count?

    Beardlocks are the plan.

I used to have a 'bit of a tashe' when I was about 17 - and looked like a bandit.
I'm giving it a go for the Month - pics to follow (positioned on the mantle piece - well it'll keep the kids away from the fire)
    :D

I have had the ability to grow facial hair since I was 16 or so, but only in the last two years (I am almost 24 right now) has it been thick enough and dense enough for it to actually look 'good.' Prior to then, it had patches, and some spots were incredibly dense while other spots were thin. So until recently, I only would sport a goatee (since that area of my face is smoothly covered). But now I can comfortably have a full beard or mustache (if I want to have one- they aren't that popular where I live for young men).

Also doin' cause I don't wanna shave, and I like it haha. Think I'll shave in December for the kicks, been a while. Plus it's kinda fun watching it grow out. Also got some weird patches....:)

I decided to just keep the goatee part. My beard simply won't grow nicely. It is very thick in some parts but non-existent in others. So basically, it looks awful. However, my goatee and mustache regions are very thick and of even density.

I wish I could grow a good beard, but I am just not a terribly hairy man. It is not meant to be!
