I'm not really intending to try them any time soon but I'm just wondering, are either of them addictive?
(I haven't tried any drugs besides weed)

Neither of them are addictive, but both can be abused.

Almost as addictive as marijuana. I'd be careful

I'd say much less addictive actually. If only because you can't really do them every day unless you double your dose every single day or whatever. Since neither are physically addictive, I'd say it's easier to be addicted to weed.

    Haha funny comments!

I'd actually say yes though. You don't have any physical addiction- getting off of caffeine was the hardest thing I've ever done. Harder than marijuana and such, because caffeine will have a withdrawal period. Which marijuana, LSD, and psilocybin do not.

But after my first experience I found myself mentally craving another experience. But on the flip side, you can feel like you need a break after doing it too much. I'd say as long as you don't grow a dependence for the drug. Or loose sense of reality.

But to answer your question, no I think it'd be very hard to be "addicted". But you can want it again, it's not a bad world though. I'd much rather be doing psychedelics than meth, or even caffeine again.

    :)

I can assure you marijuana has withdrawls, but they are light for most people and tied to how you use it. I use it as a nightcap and so when I take a break I have trouble sleeping the first 3 nights or more. I consider this a "withdrawl". Many people also get very irritable without their pot. Whether this is more "addiction" or more "withdrawl" is hard to answer.

Not in any different way than say, a rollercoaster ride, or something like that. If something is really fun and amazing and novel, you're gonna mentally crave it. A lot of people get addicted to the "escape" aspect of it, myself included. While I am not addicted to any one particular psychoactive compound, what I am addicted to is an altered consciousness. Luckily it's not an overpowering urge like for some and I have only light to moderate difficulty being sober for long periods of time. In fact I think considering how much substances are within arms reach of me most of the day that I have really good self-control in this regard.

    Well put.

But, I'd say be wary, do enough of that stuff and you could wind up like Orison.

    Well said
These "mental cravings" are less of an "addict's need", but more of a "logical desire". It'd simply be foolish to not want to go back to a good experience, much like that rollarcoaster ride you had a blast on the first time. Your experience teaches you to learn, love, be creative, and be happy- so who's to say that's a bad thing? (the government *cough cough*

I do want another experience. But I also want another cup of tea. That's not really an addiction. And I've never found myself, or heard of anyone "dependent" on the drug for any reason. I suppose dependency is the root of addiction. I can have a cup of coffee still, but if I go a day without it and loose control, that dependency tells me I'm addicted-- That's why I decided to cut my caffeine addiction the first time. I've never heard of an LSD or shrooms dependency.

I'd say no. But be careful with dosing often.

Anything enjoyable can be "habit forming". I know people that trip on mushrooms every weekend while I personally trip once every few months. I also know people that have shot heroin a few times a week for a month or more and then don't use it for years.... while other people I knew tried heroin a few times and their lives spun out of control and they had to resort to blowing dealers to get their fix (ex girlfriend of mine).

There is no such thing as a bad drug..... it is all in how you use them. You don't get addicted to a drug after one time trying it... it usually takes a while for your body to build up a physical need for it.
