My son is now 21 mos old. He is gradually weaning, cutting one or two night feedings out completely and doesn't nurse at all during the weekday nor quite as much on weekends.
I am letting him wean himself and feel fine about it. However, I think it (or something) is throwing my hormones out of whack. I have been getting crampy and nauseous and having uncontrollable mood swings. My period has finally regulated and is normal so I couldn't be preg.
I also have again developed the irrational "iwannababy" mantra again. It isn't totally unbearable but it is back.
Is there anything I can do to calm down the hormonal shift? Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how soon after your children were born.

I think it is normal to have "baby lust" as one baby weans. I don't know why you are nauseaous, unless you are menstruating at the time (are you sure you aren't pregnant?)

I have mood swings when I am weaning a baby, it is sad. I find SLOW weaning, and lots of cuddling helps.
