Just a quick question about how soon to put decorations in my dreads? I bought metal beads and would love a few wraps but don't want to ruin my dreads! They are about 2 months old. Opinions would rock. Thnx k go. :daisy:

beads are good. as long as you keep an eye on them.. make sure your dreads arent eating them if you arent taking them out regularly. i really only say that because i gave a friend of mine some wooden beads to put in her "neglect" baby dreads and they matured so quickly that she now has one of them stuck in her hair because she just didnt think about it. but that was really just some stupidity on her part. anyway, i would say wait a while before wrapping. only because i think room to move and shift is good and getting string stuck in your hair is no fun.

I wouldn't suggest it for a while. On my last set I put things in like after 3 months or so and I had some dreads where the beads/wraps were not dreaded like the rest of the dread. It looked weird.
