DMT is a potent hallucinogen that's usually smoked/vaporized and produces an incredibly fast paced 5-10 min hallucinogenic trip. Often it reminds me of being thrown into a super perfected milkdrop/computer visualizer and occasionally there are entities in this space which all seems more real than real but really it defies all possible explanations and expectations.

Sort of but the trips are very different.

It's about the duration of Salvia and the intensity of Salvia but it feels like a completely different dimension than the Salvia dimension, also the re-entry to sobriety is often regarded as much more pleasant with DMT. I have tremendous respect for both entheogens but I prefer DMT.

DMT is usually extracted from various plants and not available in head shops, I'm not sure about Salvia's legal status in GA. I haven't tried a sufficient dose of Morning Glory Seeds, I was actually thinkin about exploring them soon myself.

No point asking about DMT. You've either tried it and you know what it's about, or you're in the dark.

I really want to try DMT so I've asked my friend about it a lot. As most answers with it go, it is something that can't fully be described, just something that needs to be experienced. But the idea is, after smoking a bit, it leaves your lungs and the world starts to vibrate and scream-some sort of high pitched noise that then matches your heart beat or something about it feels synced with your body. The world vibrates with you then all of the sudden your gone, your sent into this new dimension. So in comparison to salvia, DMT has a bit more of an ease in to the visuals, where salvia can hit before you breathe out the smoke.

The visuals are impossible to describe I guess.. Because I can never get a clear answer, but I've heard something usually happens, like you'll see aliens talking or something. And you're suppose to just watch, and not interact, just sit and learn. Then the visuals fade off as you come back to the real world but the visuals are still there. It is suppose to be hard to communicate probably, but as soon as you can talk, I've been advised to record or have a friend write down what your about to say on the come down, to remember as much as possible. The visuals now are slightly there, I've heard a friend say the roads spiraled down in this green tone, and he couldn't describe it...

But DMT is VERY powerful, and short. After an hour, you are completely back to where you were before you smoked, aside from the reflections of the experience of course. I think you can compare it to salvia in the way it is smoked, and that it quickly hits, but the dimension is very uniquely it's own.

If you can get your hands on LSD, I wouldn't recommend morning glories, but since you've said it's hard to get, morning glories may be worth trying, please do an extraction though, for your own good.

Morning glories are surprisingly alike to LSD.. But you feel nauseous the entire time, it wasn't as "clean" as LSD is the way I'd put it. But like I said, it'd be worth doing if LSD is hard to get, you can order them online legally for like 5 bucks

Visuals did get trippy, but I felt super sick on them. A proper diet is suppose to help, but I eat very healthy.. I also ate the seeds raw though, so it was probably something in the seed that made me sick. And make sure they are untreated, otherwise you'll be vomiting for hours! The extraction probably would have took out the sick inducing part by a lot, but I think you'll still vomit on it from what iveheard, but in all fairness it doesn't hurt like a normal vomit.

Salvia is like Dmt's retarded cousin just like Lsa from morning glory seeds is like Lsd's retarded cousin. Salvia and Lsa generally have a lot of negative physical side effects and leave many people feeling uncomfortable and confused.

Dmt and Lsd are responsible for inspiring some of the best art and philosophies in history. You could smoke Salvia 1000 times and eat morning glory seeds till you're old and grey but they'll never compare to Dmt or Lsd.

I will say the description of Dmt is pretty spot on if you get a good dose. I will say personally I find Dmt visual to be much much more awe-inspiring.

Exactly how I'd describe it. The side effects are more from the toxins in the seeds than the active substance. LSA is thought to have a similar mechanism of action to LSD. It's not like LSD is magic and LSA isn't - both involve serotonin receptors in similar ways (not completely understood).

I want to try Morning Glories to see what they are about, because I don't have access to LSD and the novelty of the LSA trip.

@theprosperone: I'm not sure what negative physical side effects you have felt from Salvia unless you consider sweating a negative side effect. I guess i've heard some get a headache from some salvia post trip but I've heard people report vomiting from DMT, blacking out and stuff, their negative side effects are pretty comparable ime. They are equally inspiring trips to me and both equally difficult to integrate. Also I've seen tons of amazing Salvia inspired artwork and a bit of literature as well.

Salvia was used in many cultures by chewing leaves. I think salvia had a lot of importance in history, DMT is just another dimension. I prefer the DMT inspired artwork, but they were both amazing "additions to the human mind" that shaped human history

To anyone comparing Salvia and Dmt, have you actually smoked Dmt? The body high from it is actually quite pleasant, its just jarring going from sober to the most fucked up you've ever been which is why its uncomfortable for some. I've seen many people smoke Dmt and never seen anyone throw up. I'm sure it can happen but then again I've seen people puke from a huge rip of hash oil.

Salvia gives many people the "pins and needles" feeling with their skin. They also get headaches, feel confused and often walk around wondering whats happening in a stupor. You're right that Salvia has roots in traditional use but that was chewing quids of leaves. You're smoking doses that are many many times higher than any traditional used required. I'm not saying it won't fuck you up but when comparing it to Dmt, it is night and day.

Most physical weirdness from Dmt comes from the fact that if you smoke enough, you basically have an out of body experience. You don't "black out" like you're implying, you fall into a complete psychedelic trance. The visuals from Dmt are way more intense and vivid than Salvia and the mental aspect is generally much more rewarding. Dmt has been used as a therapeutic medicine for thousands of years and unlike Salvia, in doses that do cause extreme psychedelic visions. The only striking similarity they really have is the quick onset.

I still maintain that Salvia and Lsa simply can not give a good comparison to Dmt or Lsd. Anyone that does needs to eat more acid and smoke more Dmt. :sultan:
