I just drew this, I want to put this on my back in the top middle. Not huge, but a good size. Do you like it? Any suggestions?
then tell her she should go for it? but if she was my friend i would tackle her to the ground to prevent it
I see where you guys are coming from, it might not work as a tattoo but atleast I got an awesome drawing out of it. I really like the idea of an owl tattoo. But, I want it to represent a free spirit but I feel like an owl without its wings spread doesn't represent that at all. Any ideas on how I could tie the two together?
why not get something like this? i didnt draw any of these.. just found them or get your tattoo artist to draw something up...
OP..i didnt meant to be cruel but i dont pander either search ''psychedelic owl logo''..there is hundreds that have better proportion...pick one and ask the artist to ''combine'' the professional one with your drawing and come up with a new original piece
It may look a little bit amatur-ish, but if you take it to a professional tattoo artist, they could give you some really good suggestions, and maybe draw up some other drawings that would make it look more professional, and even draw one up with it's wings spread that you would like. Like they do on the show Miami Ink, and LA Ink. But I think it looks very creative, and is a great start to making a cool tattoo.
It's cute. I wouldn't get this tatted from this drawing, but use it as a rough sketch. Have a professional re draw it and it will look awesome
Hey bud. It looks to me like you were trying to go for a traditonal owl look. The problem with it is that its not clean at all. And to be honest looks like it was done in 30 minutes. If even. Its not horrible ive seen worse but it is pretty poor. Are you trying to get a tattoo apprenticeship? I am building up my portfolio for one atm. If you are my best advice is to draw draw draw. Im talking about at least 10 a day. Paint also. also take this drawing and draw again and again till it looks right. Make your whole life art. For example. I work everyday at 730am. I am up at 5am just to draw. I get off work at 6pm. And thn draw till 2 or 3am. Break yourself down so hard to get what you want. You catch my drift? M
owl tattoos are super played out - especially in that style if you want it, get it, but have your tattoo artist redraw it
I think the concept of an owl works as a tattoo depending on your personality and tastes and such, and as a drawing of an owl I like what you did. But I agree with everybody else here who is saying that your particular drawing would not work as a tattoo. There's just too much going on, too many intersecting lines and intricate patterns, for a tattoo generally you would want to see something a little cleaner, a little simpler. I think if you wanted some elements of your design you would certainly want to show a tattoo artist that drawing, but you would definitely want to have it redrawn to be a bit more appropriate for a tattoo.
