Can someone become gay?

    Hi all

I have a question. I'm 21 years old, and as far as I've always known, I've been straight. Recently however, I seem to have a sparked interest in being in a relationship with a woman. I have only had one boyfriend, and wasn't with him until I was 20, so I was a late bloomer. Since I've never really questioned my sexuality, I've never been with a woman. So in general, I don't have much experience with relationships. All I know is, now I have a real desire to try being with a woman. I'm confused though, because I wasn't sure that ones sexual orientation could change. Is it possible? If i've been straight my whole life as a far as I know, but now have a feeling that I'd rather be with a woman than a man, could that mean that I have become a lesbian? How should I go about seeing how I feel, should I try to meet and date women to see how I feel?

    Who cares about labels?

Stop trying to put yourself into a pigeonholes and letting it define who you are.

If you feel you want to experiment with other women, then go ahead and experiment with other women, and never mind what to call yourself.

If it works for you, if you like it, then stick with it. If it doesn't, if you don't, then give it up.

But live your life as the person you are; and don't feel constrained to conform with the "norm" for a label that you or somebody else chooses to apply to you.

WOW! Aren't I sooooo eloquent when I'm drunk? :mickey:

Excuse me while I fall down .....

I think so. My first girlfriend was as straight as can be. To this day, she still says shes straight except for me. She is with a guy, but has told me time and time again she would leave any guy for me.

So i think you can even have "exceptions" to the rules of orientation i guess. I think some people are born gay yes. But i think people can also explore other routes by choice

I agree with beachball.. There's no need to label yourself. Labels are stupid and just societies way of judging. Go with your gut feelings. Do what makes you happy. :)
