I'm graduating this year, and i'm confused as to why people think this is the best year of their life? in my opinion it's the worst... when I say I don't want to partake in any of these grad events, everyone looks at me as if i'm insane. I'm supposed to be going to take 'Grad Photos' in 2 days, because i was forced to sign up for this... not only that, i have to go alone because all my friends signed up way earlier and theres no spots left that time... i could care less about some grad photo, or if i'm in the year book or not... i don't even want to cross the stage, it all seems so pointless to me, plus i'm going to look like an idiot because i don't have some 'year book quote' or 'stage crossing quote' that everyone made, that i apparently 'forgot' to make, and the due date while quite a while ago so its to late, not that i care and don't even get me started on prom, it's the most retarded waste of money ever, our prom is some princess cinderela gay ass theme, i've never worn a tux or suit or tie in my life, and i don't plan on starting now, i already told my girlfriend i don't wanna go, she was a bit mad but i think everything to do with graduation is just stupid... why prolong the inevitable, we're all going to leave and go on with our lifes, why keep us here longer with these pointless activities? is it wrong that i don't want to go to my grad photos, prom, stage crossing? I'm kind of hoping i don't have enough credits to graduate so that i have an excuse to not do all this
^f'real. it is what you make of it. i personally got fucked up every day and watched the people who care about me care about me. it was awesome. wait till you look back at this year from college and realize how little work you had to do and the only thing that was expected of you was your presence. life doesn't get easier from here on in, learn to like it.
I was the same way. Didn't really care about grad, didn't care if my photo was in the year book, didn't make a quote for it, didn't care about prom etc. Looking back on it now I kinda wish I did care. I mean, you only graduate once. You're going to look back on your time in high school (good or bad) and want to have some memories, photos and all that. Try and make the best of things while you still can, cause pretty soon you're going to have to actually break a sweat to stay in school (and pay for it), or go to work everyday... hopefully doing a job you love, but most likely doing a job that makes you want to off yourself when you wake up in the morning. And trust me, you don't wanna be held back. I know lots of kids who didn't graduate with my class and half of them still haven't gotten that stupid diploma. Just get that shit out of the way asap.
Also graduation is not all about you.. It's a special time for your parents.. let them enjoy the fact that they didn't raise a complete fuck up
you'll understand later why graduation was a important life divide unless of course you land one of those jobs that spoon feeds you
I loved graduation. Finally after 12 years of being in the school system i finally had the chance to get the fuck out and do something with my life. Why would anyone complain about that?
Dude if you don't graduate on time and you're happy about it you are going to look like a jackass. So many kids were super-seniors in my graduating class and they all regretted their situation. Trust me you will appreciate high school so much more once you're out.
Graduate, walk across the stage grab a piece of paper. As far as the prom and all the rest of the crap, screw that shit..... If your girl don't understand then she's not the right one for you either.
totally not wrong to dont do it... i mean do whatever you want man! you may regret later, but life also happens 'now' not always 'later' if you dont like it, fuck that graduation shit anyway
they'll just mail the paper crap ...I got my papers and transcripts from highschool and college and Im pretty sure they just mailed it because i sure as hell didnt waste any time going to some ceremony shit
