Way too many to ever count.

I'm old so I have many years of experience.
I put Terrapin on youtube and wouldn't you know after all these years I had to stop was I doing to jam. :p

lots, and plenty real guitar too.. my friend and i were playing a standing on the moon/ lady with the fan few night ago, under the moon half outdoors. it was really spiritual, such simple tones and melody both the lead and rhythm .. like jerry was right there.. its all electric anyways..

That sounds awesome orison. I wish I could do that.

The closest I got to the real thing was using a tennis racket. :D

    Keep on jammin'

That would create an ugly noise. :D

Today I was using a nice wooden back scratcher.

Sadly enough, I've only ever air bass played to Phil, not air guitar-ed to Jerry. Then I learned how to for real play. Kudos to orison319's comment.

To paraphrase something I thought Bobby once said, the only fascistic leaning everyone should have is that everyone should learn to play an instrument (or maybe he said 'serve the muse'... close enough).

Plenty of time spent with my strat playing along to the Sirius GD channel, trying to mimic some Jerry and learn a thing or two. Once in a while I'll sit down with a version of a song that I find really tasty and transcribe the parts that stand out. Also, countless hours spent with E minor and Dorian doing "cryptical/other one" it's my favorite Dead jam and I can get lost for hours in it... Anybody wanting to learn some Dead guitar should check out JDarks on Youtube. He's got quite a few transcriptions on his website.
