This is for those who believe they are a living soul trapped in a physical body. To what does your memory go fartherest back to? What age were you in that far back memory since it might be that you came to life at right then? The first moment you can remember could be the moment of your come to life in the flesh. Or the moment your living soul first got trapped in a physical body. -Your life doesn't actually start at birth, -Your life doesn't actually start at conception, & -Your life doesn't actually start at sperm... ...because those are as illusions to others who can never ever see when a physical body obtains a living soul. At first the physical body operates without a living soul... Then at some point it begins to operate with a living soul it has caught. The physical body is a trap. A living soul gets caught up in this trap called a physical body. Life maybe starts when a soul gets trapped in a fresh, soul-less physical body. Just a theory. Or is it? What do you think? Did the physical trap you're in now start so with your first memory? Think back to why you can't remember your own birth!
I cannot remember my birth at all. However, through meditation i was able to connect with my past lives. I remember my many lives throughout my souls existence.
In response to what I think, I don't believe in souls at all. You were alive and thinking before you could remember it. If the first moment you can remember is the first time your soul was "trapped in a body" then by that logic are times that I don't remember really just times when your soul wasn't present? And I think that although we seem to be trapped and limited my our bodies, they also give us all the freedom and abilities we have.
I have meditated starting with what I had for breakfast all the way back to as far as I can remember many a time. For this life, I remember taking a propelling shit while my mom was changing my diaper that shot all the way across the floor. (I'm so classy) I have remembered a past life in which I was an African Adult male on a small log bridge holding my daughter's hand.
It depends what 'soul' is. Maybe brain just doesn't remember early development stages, because overall, what would be a point of it?
