Has anyone actually tested positive for lsd with a urine screen? I have read a lot of posts on the internet talking about how it is possible but I am wondering if there is anyone who has themselves tested positive or personally knows someone who has. A friend took some acid on Saturday afternoon and had a court ordered urine test Monday morning. The test goes to a lab and he is freaking out. He says that over a year ago he tripped and tested a few days later with no positive result but is freaking out now anyway. Anyone?
court ordered? why are you even risking it? stop doing all drugs until the man is no longer breathing down your neck.. come on! be smarter than them! :frown: you're not gonna die if you miss out on a party or seven. and no.. i doubt they will even test for.. or find lsd in your system.
I went looking on the laboratory web sites even though where he tests has their own lab and don't send it off, and it appears that they all have a test for lsd but it is not listed on any of their 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, or 12 panel tests. I almost want to lock my friend up. He got busted drinking in their program and they locked him up and put him in rehab for 6 months and now he's trying this stupid stuff. I like tripping as much as the next guy, but seriously, he needs to chill.
It does, they just have to be specifically screening for LSD. None of the standard drug screens test for LSD, mushrooms yes, LSD no. the big 5 are THC Amphetamine PCP Cocaine Opiates some tests also include MDMA and Psilocybin.
Sorry,never thought it was traceable through piss but you learn something everyday I guess. But I took it all the time while going to counseling, glad they never checked
I take random drug tests for probation and I've taken them as little as 20 hours after taking lsd. No they do not test for lsd. I believe the test that most probation offices require is the samhsa - 5, although I expect that some prefer to include mdma since it's so commonly used. samhsa - 5 is the standard 5 panel drug test for THC, opiates, amphetamines, pcp, and cocaine.
Glad to hear this considering I live in new Orleans too. My friend goes to court tomorrow, albeit in Jefferson parish, so I will report back the findings then. Hope your probation goes smoother than his drug court has thus far.

I think from the law's perspective, it's too expensive to even take a test for doing LSD. First off it would be much more likely to find marijuana - aside from how long it stays in your system- because so many people do it. And 2: it's a microscopic substance. It is supposedly out of your urine in 24-48 hrs normally, and possibly faster if you drink a ton of water on purpose like some people attempt before a MJ test. So between those two facts, who wants to spend the money on a way to look for a substance that is nearly impossible to find - even if the person did do it? It's just not worth the expense. I've also read stories where people have been pulled over, found for marijuana, and the cop stared at blotters of LSD, and unaware of what it was, the people were only charged for the MJ possession. It's just not as common of a street drug as it once was in the 60s-80s. I think your friend should be fine, but as you said he needs to chill down, I think being caught will serve no purpose- you probably will need to talk about it with him. Drugs are not fun when the law is on your back about it, that's a serious issue.
Do the standard flush/saturate strategy, and even if they did test for it, they wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of finding it. It CAN be found, in ideal conditions, but you can get things like weed out of your system by just drinking a lot of water and putting some thought into how and when you piss, if your friend's worried that's all he needs to do. It will be just fine. Something less than 1% of all drug users take psychedelics with any frequency, or as their drugs of choice. It's very cost ineffective to test for things that nobody freaking takes.

All is well...his test came back clean. So that's a go for anyone looking to eat acid while in drug court or on probation in Jefferson parish.
If you get dragged in tripping (And if this happens, you will NOT be able to contain yourself or act sober.....) it will still be a probation violation and get you locked up, if you have a law enforcement encounter....
The testing they do is random, but as long as you adhere to a pretty easy schedule of when to trip and when not to its not hard to avoid. They only test before like, 4:30, and not on weekends. There's plenty of available tripping time. I've been in for a test soon after a trip without sleep. It was about 20 hours after dropping though.
