Before I got my first tattoo, I pondered what I wanted to get for a long time. Then one night I had a dream in which I was drawing my own tattoo design. I woke up and it was fresh in my mind. I sat up and thankfully had paper and pen on my night table, which I used to put the design on paper. Ever since then, I have designed my own tattoos. It has evolved from dreaming about drawing to consciously choosing and designing art that reflects what is important and sacred to me. It has a deep personal significance. It is hard to explain to people, but most don't want ask what it all means...they just see what looks good or doesn't...it seems so damn superficial to me. Isn't there anyone else out there that has tattoos that reflect who they are through their own art?
