Egg Nog

I like egg nog....... just one tall glass is enough to suffice me, no more. I know its kinda odd that either people like egg nog or they dont. my dad usually gets a container or two for xmas. I never had any spiked egg nog though.

I've had egg nog french toast. It was awesome.

Yes i agree here, does'nt this stuff have raw eggs in it. It makes me think of a raw egg sliding down my throat.

 

I love it but it has way too many calories. It balances out, though, because even if you love it, you can only drink it a couple months out of the year. I used to make it myself with eggs, sugar, nutmeg, and half and half, but you're not supposed to do itnow because of the danger of salmonella poisoning from eating the raw eggs. When I was younger we never even heard of that.
I have to add nutmeg to it when it comes from the store, though...they NEVER put enough in.
Damn it, I wish I had some now...curse you, Matt, for making me think of it!!!

 

not a fan of storebought, but I did have some homemade nog once that wasn't so rich, and with a lil Jack it wasn't too bad

if you get real eggs, you dont have to worry about salmonella. it's just the factory farmed chickens that give poisoned eggs.

grocery store nogg sucks ass. it's too chemically tasting for me

i make mine. 1 c whole milk, 1 fresh range egg, 1 heaping tsp honey, a little cinnamon and a little nutmeg. yummm!!

 

i think that shit is nasty. i cannot stand it. and just reading this thread about it makes me want to puke
