what the heck. why do people try to get tans cus they don't like their white skin? I am a white person and I don't care that my skin is super white. I find it stupid that someone dislikes their own skin color and has to change it.
I dont think it's so much a matter of actual color per se as much as it is the social stigma and misconceptions one may have towards those who never get outside and enjoy the sun? Like we're a bunch of cellar-dwelling, sun fearing Mole men or something,,, just sayin'. :cheers2:
yeah well some white people really are white people haha like me and we can't get a tan from the sun no matter how much we go outside. even with sun tan lotion on and spending days at the beach and waterpark I am still very white. I am saying this because I know people who are white and sun does not tan them so they freak out and go to tanning beds and sit under some crazy lights that bake their skin or something and they come out darker. also some people put this cream all over their body everyday to make them tan or some spray can stuff and put face make up on to make their face tan. so my question is what the heck. are people really that insecure that they feel judged if their skin is white? if someone thinks I don't go outside cus I am white I don't care haha. I will just think they are stupid. if you think like that then black people must go outside the most huh???
I guess it is a matter of insecurity on the parts of those with the "spray on melatonin" But to be fair, not being able to tan at all really puts them in a minority of the population, who upon seeing them all pasty and grey, automatically assume that as they have no tan they've probably been indoors a great deal and are likely ill or recently recovering from an ailment,,, etc, etc. Make a lil sense?
I hate it, the difference between the tanned parts and the non tanned parts really stands out when your in the nuddie and in the middle of summer when the tanned parts are really tanned. It looks really stupid. And blemishes tend to stand out more on a white background
I guess if someone is right near me and they are sick looking like they got a disease then yeah I will notice and might think dang this person looks weak or sick but I know lots of white people who just got skin that when they go outside the sun shines off them they are like a white bright light and their skin looks healthy just shiny looking white and sometimes white pinkish and not pasty just healthy looking white skin. so personally I just think oh a white person haha not oh they must no go outside much. and it is not rare because I know lots of white people with skin like this and I live in california which has a higher hispanic population than white population. and california has beachs and good weather so yeah people go outside lots to parks, beach, trails, mountains, desert. and yes these white people do have tan marks but it is actually a very very very pink red that is so light pink that you have to be like standing like 5 in away from the person to even see the tan lines in the different areas and trust me it is so barely noticable you can barely even see the difference cus the white pink looks almost just the same as white. heck maybe these people do not live in the areas you guys live in haha. but its spread out here in california where I live at. for example I know a white chick and from a distance you can't tell a difference between her ass and her back and her arms. they all look the same. and she goes to the beach in bikini a lot. and even when close up when she is naked still the tan lines are barely noticble between her ass and back and arms.
It's 5 am, just woke up after 4 hrs of sleep, already smoked two bowls,,, (I think it was my own brain asking for more really,,,)
i believe this has existed for some considerable time. maybe not actual melatonin as such, but tinted sunscreen lotions have been around since some time in the 1960s. i remember them being advertised quite heavily on the tv in the 1970s. there was also a book called "black like me" that was written sometime in the 60s i think it was, where this white guy used shoe polish or something, to darken his skin to see what it was like to be treated the way people of color were treated during segrigation. what is wrong with being white? (or black?) hold a piece of white paper against your skin, if you're "white" or carbon paper if you're "black". what's wrong with "being white"? to put it simply: THERE AIN'T NO SUCH THING. if you were ACTUALLY "white" you'd be a friggin CORPS.
actually no joke I have seen plenty of people who are as white at printer paper. I am pink white so personally im not that white but yeah I have seen hairy dudes with black hairs all over their body at the beach but they are as white as white printer paper. maybe the hair prevents them from tanning haha. but there are lots of people from distance they look as white as printer paper but when you get really close they are very light pinkish white.
as a white man i spend the majority of my life being called racist by association i really am damned if i do and damned if i don't.
What's wrong with being white, I'll tell ya....white people are the devil and at the root of all the world's evil. I'm white so I can say that
so you're asking this and then you say you cannot tan hahahaa... well maybe that's why you don't mind having pale skin because you cannot change it in the good old sun. YOU WANNA BE BLUE BLOOD! ;D
tanning does not change your race. why do people cut or dye their hair, or get piercings or tattoos, or wear makeup, or dress a certain way?
I thought the desire to look like you had a tan came from wanting people to think you had a lifestyle that kept you on the beach or lake all the time and not at work. I thought it developed from people wanting to look like they have the life of Hollywood stars.
personally i think people with tans are better looking and it also makes me look more well and my skin less nasty. when i wake up in mid winter i look so pale like i'm somewhat ill or right now with little sleep i look so pale and tired... tan for p0lygon
