I think I posted this in another forum by mistake and then realised this was the right one...

    I am 17, and I masturbate quite a lot, maybe 3 - 4 (sometimes 4-5) times a day.

Not only have I noticed I seem to take a very long time ot orgasm and need to go extremely fast and rough in order to do so, but I also realised my semen volume is only small.

I had sex for the first time yesterday, and neither me or my girlfriend could make me orgasm, until I finally went at it by myself while she played with my balls.

I was very horny and so I dont think that was an issue, but I was also very nervous as it was the first time for both of us.

Question 1 - Can mastubating too much cause less penile sensitivity?

    and

Question 2 - Can it also effect ejaculation amount?

The answer is obviously yes to both questions, but only over the very short term (ie a day or 2).

A common cause to the problem you describe is the one I have myself, and that is a side effect of various medications. In my case it is medication for epilepsy, but a far more common one these days is from anti-depressants & beta-blockers. If you are on any such medications you might want to check out the known side effects, or talk to your GP.

It's surprising how many medications can have sexually orientated side effects. Most are detrimental, but some have a positive effect. The most famous one probably being Viagra, which was originally produced as a cardiac medication. As it happened research showed that it was of little use for its original intention, but the side effects it caused made it an overnight international corporate explosion.

Thanks for the help guys! I've come up with an amazing discovery! I looked up the side-effects of some medication I'm on, and there it was - it said it can cause "Erectile Dysfunction", "Difficulty acheiving Orgasm" and "decreased sex drive". So I stopped taking them this morning, and even though its only been a few hours, I immediately noticed that I had an orgasm in just over a minute! A lesson for sure - always check what medications you're on and their side effects when it comes to sexual problems! But thanks guys for your help anyways :) :)

be careful stopping medications cold-turkey without consulting your doctor

Medication might be one thing. I take some stuff that has similar side effects, but dont underestimate your own personal being outside of the medication. You said you masturbate frequently, maybe cut it down a bit and you will find you have easier, larger, more enjoyable orgasms. Perhaps you were nervous having sex for the first time with a new person, it wouldn't be the first story I heard of someone getting too anxious to orgasm their first time.

Try some meditation and don't masturbate as often if you are having sex more, I mean, the ultimate goal is to replace all the times you would masturbate with someone else doing it for you right ;) Other then that, next time your having sex, just relax and breath.

Medications take far more than a few hours to work their way out of the system to any noticeable degree.

if you had such a quick reaction to stopping the meds, it makes me think that it's probably psychological.

Im thinking the same actually, however the pills I take are only morning pills, and since I took my last dose yesterday morning, and havent taken todays dose, I dont know if they would have partially come out of my system by this time, but if not then maybe its psychological, Im not sure really, but I do feel a whole lot better :D
