Well he doesn't even look white, he looks sick. He looked much healthier when his skin color was brown. No matter what his skin color is he will always be black.

yep. people should just be cool with how they are born.

I guess fitzy21 likes the color white more than black haha.

Based on personal taste with no regard for anything else, I think the complexion of the Native People of the America's is most pleasing. A copper tone with reddish hints framed by jet black hair strikes me as beautiful. It has nothing to do with race or the traits of the individual, simply a complextion that is attractive to me. There is nothing more complex in that preference than there is in my tendency to buy blue or green cars.

I tan because I work and play in the sun not because I'm running from my own complexion. When I work and play hard my body is healthy. The tan that comes from that is reflective of the joy I feel being alive and out in nature. Thats not too complex is it?

well what I am talking about is more like wtf is wrong with people. white people going to tanning beds( some crazy coffin looking thing where you sit under some crazy light and it changes your skin) and black people bleaching their skin. both are not healthy at all. I am sure those tanning beds give higher chance of skin cancer. people who go outside and get a tan are tan people not really white people. sure race wise they are white people but skin color wise they are tan people. and if you already are naturally tan and go in the sun then you just become more brown and tan.

but my original thinking when I made this thread was about how ridiculous I think it is that people have to go to tanning beds or spray on tans on their body everyday. im not asking why people get tans haha. I know why people get tans. It is very obvious why someone gets a tan.

I guess let me make it simple. this thread is just me saying my random thought about how I think its stupid that people can't be chill with their own skin color. what they can't handle being white? like wtf. they like the color brown more well to bad they are a white person and were born a white person and should deal with it and accept who they are. if you are a black person or a white person accept who you are. no need to change yourself.

Well maybe some people go to tanning beds because they like the look of someone who works/plays outside but they can't spend the time for some reason. Who knows? I did a tanning bed one winter just before going down to Peru. I wanted to get a start on my tan because I was going to be a month under the jungle sun working outside. Without a start on the tan I would have been burnt badly on the first day. The equitorial sun is a beast. With just a bit of a start and plenty of sunblock I did fine. Came home in February with a deep tan and not a deep burn.

Actually color is important to me in lots of areas. My home is a natural wood brown with southwestern shades of reds, oranges, yellows, blues and greens for trim. I like strong colors not pastel or light colors. I will not own a white car. I wear blue jeans. My gardens are a color riot. I love Poison Dart Frogs because of their crazy colors. Why not appreciate a skin color that suits a person?

    pickey pickey.

nothing WRONG with being green with purple polkadots.

people don't generally get to choose where on what planet they get to be born, nor the appearance of their life form, nor what's between their leggs, nor even, entirely what they're stimulated by going to bed with.

people do get to chose though, what to risk becoming addicted to, and how they act.

what's wrong with being egotistical and aggressive is what it does to the kind of world we all still have to live in.

I was unable for three years to be out in any sun due to chemo and radiation treatments and was actually pasty looking.

I am not a person who ever sat in the sun to get a tan but this year I was able to be outside and I did tan really well for a pale person.

I never sunbathed in my life but this year to have the sun just warm my skin after three long summers was a feeling I can not describe. It gave me energy and made me want to be outside in nature. It gave me hope.

A little colour is nice, especially when you get it when doing rather than sitting.
