Brown weed.

Hey guys, just looking to get your opinions.

The other night a few buddys and I were searching for weed because our regular source was dry, and even our back up sources were dry so it seemed like it would be a sad night. Fortunately we managed to find someone to grab it from who we had bought from a long time ago. He only really sold large ammounts, and was normally very reliable with above average strains. I asked him how much a quarter would be, and he said it would be 40 bucks which was a bonus since I was prepared to pay 70 for a quarter in that situation. He said to come grab it in 30 minutes, so we drove to the LCBO to pick up supplies (Today is my 19th birthday, legal age here which calls for celebration) and then headed over to his place.

When we arrived at his place we sent one guy in to grab for everyone since this guy is a serious sketch bag. He came back out and everything seemed to have gone fine so we finally headed back to my place to smoke a few joints. To my surprise, when my friend took out the bag the weed was shit brown. My first thought was what the fuck is this, have we been sold vaped weed or something? After inspecting it more I came to the conclusion that it was not vaped, but it smelt like nasty with a SLIGHT marijuana odour. I was pretty disapointed that we ended up with this awful looking/smelling herb but I guess it was all we could get.

I can't even tell if it's getting me high, it gives me a mild buzzy feeling but that mild buzz is accompanied by a slight headache. I was truly surprised when we went through at mcdonalds soon after smoking a few joints and I had no appetite, just had cramps in my stomach. Normally I would gladly inhale anything on the menu but I had no interest in munchin out. What do you guys think the deal is with this shit? Just really low quality weed, or maybe something else? Please post your opinions

 

All I know is that explains why you got it for $30 less than usual. Use a gravity bong or something

 

Yeah I guess it's what you get when you pay so cheap. Good that he's not overcharging. Might give that a shot, i'm using a wooden pipe right now and it's definately better than the joints were.

The weed you bought, that quarter is worth about 5 to 10 dollars.. its brown really and has no value at all, unless your a mixican wigger..

The only difference between green weed and brown weed is that brown weed has been allowed to die in the ground, then harvested. As the plant dies the chlorophyll changes from green to brown, it's that simple. The biggest difference you will notice is that brown weed will be "stonier" because of the degradation of some THC to other cannabinoids.
Back when I was a kid all the best weed was brown or gold; Thai stick, Colombian, Acapulco Gold, etc.

I've had some of the seediest, shit smell and taste dirt brown weed that would hold it's own against any modern medical strains today.
Also have had some of the prettiest green and fragrant buds that were worthless as well.
Looks are a very unreliable indicator of how good or potent a particular batch of weed is.

sounds like exceptions to the rule, especially your first point. i've had GREAT weed before that didn't look impressive, but only a few times.


if it's brown, with barely any smell, and it doesn't get you very high - it's schwag. sounds like the OP just bought some for the 1st time. it's more natural in my mind to start out buying crap, and move your way up...that's how i did it at least.

 

Yep sounds like schwag. I rarely see the stuff anymore. I thought it was extinct.

 

Not all brown weed is bad. I have had some pretty dank weed that was super sticky yet compressed and very unsightly. It looked and smelled nasty, but it was some of the better weed I've had. Unfortunately, most brown weed is Mexican brick weed which is dry, loaded with seeds and sometimes resembles dirt in appearance. It's hard to smoke that shit even when things are dry and I'm desperate.

 

brown weed is crap don't buy it. u can get all green seed weed buds for cheap just keep looking around
