I was wondering that out of the 163,181 members and I do understand most are not around anymore. But the question is who is actually a so called hippie.
Yes And No... YES:- I Have Dreadlocks And Have Not Worn Shoes For Years But Wear Five Thin Toerings... NO:- I Shower Daily, Wear Freshly Washed Clothes Usually Camo Print Long Pants And A Tee, And Drive A Nice German Car... I Have Been Asked "Are You A Hippie" And I Say No, I'm Just Doing My Own Thing, I Don't Have A Nagging Wife And Teenaged Kids Telling Me What Is "In" And What Is "Out". I'm Sure Lots Of People Wonder What Makes Me "Tick". There Are Some Days I Wonder Myself... Cheers Glen.
Sure, I'm a hippie, long haired, drug addled, non conforming escapee from the 60's adorned with scars, wrinkles, tattoos, blue jeans & tee shirt all held together with an attitude of love, weirdness and passion for Mama Earth. Either I'm a hippie or an extra for some strange movie called life that's still being shot.
I was an aspiring Hippie but never really achieved total Hippyness. I was at the tailend of it. I was only 13 during the Summer of Love, kinda hard to run off and join a commune at that age. I distinctly remember my buddy and I trying to figure out how to get to Woodstock. Unfortunately Hippy doesn't pay the bills.
I was always the outcast, believed in what most people did not and most people called me hippie, just wondered why others were considered hippie.
I'm a non-conformist pretty much; free spirit; earthy. I always felt like I was born 10 years too late to be an original Hippie, however I had 3 older brothers and 2 of them were true Hippies. When I was in high school, my crowd was labeled "Freaks".
People label me a hippie on occassion, but I don't know if this makes me a hippie. I have long hair. I wear whatever I want, but I don't dress like a hippie. I'm earthy as all hell. I like farms and forests and nature. I'm free-spirited. I dunno if any of that makes me a hippie. I actually identify myself as a flapper.
Same here.... Never really fit in anywhere. Was considered a hippie since the 60's and I was a kid then.
ive been called it before...I think its great, i was gonna say who cares but obviously you do so i was gonna cancel it out but i didnt feel like hiding something from you monsters LOL anyways yeah i loved the culture, still do, the designs are irreplaceable which can be said about many things but still its something thats been passed down..I think its beautiful, i love it. LOL cheers to that
no one has ever called me a hippie so I guess im not one I am a free person though who does what I want..when I want...and how I want.....I prefer being my own boss in employment...and in life but if the right girl comes along I will happily be her bitch slave
