Heading 2 Warren H. xmas jam Friday-any chill places to camp until Saturday showtime?

It'll be a twelve hour drive for me, but damn!...Warren Haynes, Galactic, Govt. Mule, Little Feat, Neville Bros., and Col. Bruce, ...for less than $50.
plus all of the other guest appearances.

So, is there a place where other out of towners hang prior to the show? A certain campground or something? When do the civic center lots open?

WhoooHooo...I can't wait!

 

I would like to know too. My friend and I are staying with this dude who lives in Asheville but I haven't really talked to him about where there is to go and what there is to do. I've heard Asheville is awesome though. I am sooooo excited!

 

I'm sure that there is lots to do in Asheville, but I'll save that for Saturday night after the show, if there's anything still open then. For Friday, I'm thinking of heading to Crabtree Meadows, find some parking/camping there, and checking out the falls during the day Saturday. I found a road dog for the trip so now i'll have company. We're driving a p/u truck w/a truck camper, so we'll be camped wherever we park, as long as the lot is open 24 hrs. I'm hoping that the Civic Center lot stays open all night so that we can stay in town Saturday night. Then we'll head back to FL. on Sunday.

That's my plan unless something better comes along.

 

My friend and I are leaving Saturday morning so we will get there Saturday afternoon. We want to explore the town a little bit...you know, cool shops, restaurants. The girl I am going with went a couple years ago and she said that there is definantly a lot. It's not huge or anything, but still, I am so excited. We might sleep in her car. Ah. Get ready! My ticket came yesterday!
