I picked up a quarter ounce of shrooms from a buddy yesterday. I noticed they had some gold flakes on them and in the little bit of grow medium that was in the bag. Ive seen some potting soils out there with gold flakes like these in them. I just thought I'd see if anyone out there knew what kind of soil or medium these are from or what they are? I brushed most of it off and I'm sure it's harmless but I just can't help but wonder what they are!

Those my good man are vermiculite flakes which is the substance used to grow the mushrooms. The fact that they have vermiculite flakes in the bag is a good sign because it means they were grown indoors and aren't field mushrooms.

I was going to ask if your friend frequented strip clubs, was thinking that or pixy dust. :)

I did not know that was an indicator they were grown inside! Thanks for the info.
