    For a Workers Government!
    By Wolf Larsen

The Occupy Wall Street movement has brought a great deal of attention to the fact that a privileged elite is making a class war against the American majority. Some say that this privileged elite is not really 1% of the population, but is actually more like .1% (or a 10th of one percent) of the population.

I am no rocket scientist, and I have no idea whether the privileged elite that is ruining our country is 1% of the population or .1% of the population. However, I can tell you the privileged elite have done tremendous damage to the living standards of the American people!

Look at our country! The infrastructure is falling apart. One out of every 10 persons cannot find work. Those who are lucky enough to have work often do so for stingy wages. Many American families are losing their homes to the banks. Meanwhile, the large corporations have been given hundreds of billions of tax dollars in what can only be described as welfare-for-the-rich.

The war-profiteers and their prostitute-politicians of both political parties got us involved in two imperialist wars at the same time. Injured veterans who have been denied government benefits are begging on the streets for their next meal. Meanwhile, the war-profiteers and the rest of the privileged elite are living luxurious lives like 19th century French royalty.

What are we going to do about this privileged elite, and their prostitute-politicians? Isn't it time that the politicians and the bourgeoisie got a job? And don't tell me any nonsense about how it's a Jewish conspiracy, because most of the filthy rich in our country are of Anglo-Saxon heritage. At the same time we also have to remember that for every Anglo-Saxon bourgeoisie living like 19th century royalty there's a zillion other Americans of Anglo-Saxon heritage working for minimum wage.

When workers pay taxes they are subsidizing the extravagant lifestyles of the rich and powerful. Many members of the bourgeoisie do not pay taxes. When they eat at luxurious restaurants with their cronies the bourgeoisie often discount those meals as a business expense tax write-off. And while the bourgeoisie eat caviar and drink champagne unemployed Americans struggle to get by on food stamps.

We don't need the bourgeoisie. We don't need the wealthiest 1% or .1%. They are dead weight. The wealthiest 1% or .1% take much of the nation’s wealth for themselves (leaving less for the rest of us). Lower wages for workers means higher profits for the bosses. The wealthiest 1% or .1% are good for nothing but producing economic disasters with their never-ending greed.

We don't need derivatives traders. We don't need junk-bond traders. We don't need people who haven't worked a day in their lives but live extravagant lifestyles on their trust funds and huge inheritances. While there's nothing wrong with a working class person passing on his or her modest “wealth” to the next generation I think it's absolutely ridiculous that the sons and daughters of the bourgeoisie inherit so much money that they don't have to work for a living! They live extravagant lives of luxury like 19th century French royalty, and meanwhile one out of every five American children is growing up in poverty!

In addition, the capitalist news media and the capitalist politicians of both political parties are labelling one American after another as "terrorists". This is complete hypocrisy! The biggest terrorist in the world lives in the White House, and the capitalist news media whitewashes this very terrorism. I tell you we Americans are in a bad situation when our government executes American citizens abroad with their drones without even so much as a trial!

The war on drugs is another example of US government terrorism. The war on drugs is being conducted by terrorist police officers who are shooting minority youth in the back. The war on drugs is being conducted by terrorist judges who sentence people to prison where they are often raped for the "crime" of smoking marijuana. For smoking marijuana these Americans are subjected to horrible terrifying experiences in prison. One out of every four persons in jail in the world is in jail in the USA, mostly because of drugs. The war on drugs is a war of terror against the American people. And it is the politicians of both political parties who are the ones who have created this war of terror against the American people.

We need to understand that this capitalist government is a terrorist government. This capitalist government has terrorized the people of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Iraq and Afghanistan might as well be new words for Vietnam! The US government has also terrorized the people of Latin America with imperialist invasions, CIA sponsored coup d'états, and American military support of bloodthirsty dictators.

The longer this bipartisan terrorist government is allowed to remain in power the more hideous become its war crimes against both the American people and the rest of the world. The US government is making a class war against the American working people. The US government helps the bourgeoisie and the big corporations to weaken and smash our unions. The US government is taking away our civil liberties, in the form of the war on drugs and the Patriot Act.

When the politicians of both political parties talk about democracy and freedom they are talking about the democracy and freedom of the large corporations and the bourgeoisie to trample upon the rest of us. The American majority are excluded from this democracy. If you are rich this government is your democracy and you enjoy all the rights that your money buys you. However, if you're not rich then the country you live in resembles more and more a bipartisan dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. The American government is a democracy of the rich.

Understand that the bourgeoisie and the terrorist US government think nothing of killing Americans for whatever reason. This government has used both the police and the National Guard to attack poor blacks in the ghettos and working class whites on the picket line. The US government murdered in cold blood many members of the Black Panther Party who were exercising their Second Amendment right to bear arms. Defend the Second Amendment!

Under this capitalist government there will never be peace. If they're not at war with "communism" then they're at war with the same Taliban fanatics who they trained and armed during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. (Osama bin Laden received his training in terrorism by the US government during the Cold War.) When the US government is not at war with Taliban fanatics then the US government is at war with the American people.

Only the working class can end this terroristic capitalist system. Only workers revolution can put an end to capitalism. Sometimes in order to have peace you have to put a bully in his place. Under capitalism the US government is a violent bipartisan junta that terrorizes blacks, Latinos, and working-class whites, that is when it's not terrorizing the rest of the world with its war machine.

We need to throw the bourgeoisie out of power. We need to end capitalism. We need to replace capitalism with socialism. Under socialism there will be peace. Under socialism workers will have all the rights, and the bourgeoisie will have the right to go get a job. (Under socialism everyone will have the right to a job.)

Of course, it is naïve to think that every member of the bourgeoisie will peacefully accept workers democracy. For that reason after a workers revolution a workers state will have to defend itself by any means necessary against bourgeois terrorists or pro-bourgeois terrorists who engage in or advocate a violent counterrevolution against a workers government.

There are some naïve people called reformists who think that the workers can share power with the bourgeoisie in some kind of classless "democracy". This is horribly naïve! Every time that the workers have tried to peacefully share power with the bourgeoisie the bourgeoisie had the workers shot down in cold blood. Some examples of this are: the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s, Chile in 1973, and China in 1927 when Chang Kai-shek murdered 10,000 leftist workers in Shanghai. Those are just a few of the more infamous examples of how sharing power with the bourgeoisie is simply impossible. The bourgeoisie do not want to share power with the workers, and the bourgeoisie and their henchmen are prepared to drown endless numbers of workers in blood.

The only way for the working class to rule is for the bourgeoisie and all of their henchmen to be thrown out of power permanently. The working class must take the reins of power for itself in a workers revolution. The working class must rule.

If a workers revolution becomes violent that is because the bourgeoisie and their henchmen are terrorists who will use violence to try and overthrow a workers government. The bourgeoisie, the educational system, and the capitalist news media have deliberately misled the American people regarding the October Revolution. The truth is more people died filming the storming of the Winter Palace in Russia than died in the actual event! (Never give actors live ammunition!) Anyway, the death toll came later when the new Soviet Union was invaded by several imperialist armies. In addition, both the Russian and foreign bourgeoisie aided violent counter-revolutionaries called the white forces. The real truth is that it was the bourgeoisie who made the workers revolution in Russia violent. The Red Army under the leadership of Leon Trotsky were able to successfully defend the October Revolution against the counterrevolutionary terrorists who were armed by foreign governments like Britain, Japan, and the United States. Hence, it was the bourgeoisie and their henchmen who caused the violence and bloodshed that followed the October Revolution.

Well start a commune then or a worker co-op or kibbutz. You don't need to tare down the whole system and rebuild it from the top down to do this. The Bolsheviks didn't have to hold on to the absolute monopoly of power they had after the civil war. Much of what the Cheka did in the first years was kill and imprison opposition that was no threat whatsoever to the revolution. The Bolsheviks are the real people who stifled proletarian self governance by governing the working class and every aspect of their lives. The Soviet rule was a farce and a contradiction, because it was a small minority of political officials, really no different from lords, that bossed everyone else around and technically owned everything. They spouted that BS about the communist party being an apparatus to proletarian rule and collective ownership, but in reality the party officials were the ones who owned the land. They always had the best houses, the best food, etc etc, just like the pigs in Animal Farm. If you call all the shots on how land is utilized, you own it, and if you don't, like the vast majority in the USSR, you're a vassal.

Communist dictatorships were no less terroristic than western powers. Just do a little research on the mass famines under such regimes, how China invaded Tibet, the genocide under Pol Pot, the USSR's backing of the Derg in Ethiopia, etc etc. I think the horrors of the cold war had less to do with what ideology was transgressing the crimes and more to do with state, party, and corporate idealogues on both sides using fear as an excuse to meddle in the affairs of the world.

If you look at the way the USSR functioned, it was as if one corporation had an absolute monopoly on all political and economic activities across entire countries. People say the USSR had no advertising billboards, but they sure had a lot of propaganda posters everywhere. If Macy's or Mcdonalds or Halliburton had complete control of a country, had their advertisements up everywhere, there would be very little difference in appearance to a communist dictatorship. Being that there was no competition, too, all the consumer goods would be mediocre. Names really don't matter. People can use the best language to present their selves and their agenda, but what's fundamentally important is what they actually do.

I didn't read all of that, but the marxist language (class warfare, workers revolution, etc) is going to scare a lot of people away.

Its 2011, we should be looking ahead and thinking outside the box (which is what Karl Marx did, and he didn't have a bad philosophy, and he changed the world because he offered it something that had never been said before) instead of relying on the language of a system that is as broken as capitalism.

It just reads like you were heavily influenced by the Communist Manifesto.

I agree that in America people are scared of losing what "little" they have but to others around the world that "little" is the way some foreign higher ups live.

The impression I get from your post is that an alternative "-Ism" Socialism, in particular, has turned your fear into envy over things you want instead of need.

If my neighbor wants cable television or internet he can work for it, if he needs food or other necessities I will gladly give it even if I have to do without my needs being met. I can do that because I can provide for my needs wether I have money or not as long as a burdensome Government stays out of they way. Governments around the world get people who once could sustain themselves in a virtually autonomous state hooked on their monetary and economic structure through social and political means. It makes people dependant on others in a planned effort to control the individual and their lifestyles in support of the machine.

The 99 % in America aren't thankful for what they have wether they worked for it or their Government gave it to them because the government has conditioned them to always consume and want more (without need) and that is why they look at others, even their neighbors, with envy and distrust. Their government's social control policy is to make everybody look at another with fear, mistrust and envy. The government pits classes against each other, they pit races against each other in hopes that they lose the will to care for anyone. All for the benifit of the political, social and industrial elite. They want good machines not human beings!

The small business man and the union worker are exactly like the big business man and the politician when they start to use their wealth to extract political and social favors to make their lot in life better than their peers. Republican, Democrat, capitialist, progressive, communist or socialist at that point are all part of the flip side of the same coin of dominance and power over the individual. You will either have a capitalist controlling every aspect of your life or a socialist controlling every aspect of your life. And if you disagree with either one they will use their power to crush you.

For me, life, liberty and the ability to find happiness through the work of my own two hands in a manner that benifits all, including myself, and does not hurt the innocent is what I aim for.

If I become a person who has more than my neighbor who might be in Need (not in Want, big difference there!) I feel it is my obligation to help him. Someone else might feel like they don't want to help their neighbor for a reason that might make sense to them. The point is that it is an individuals choice to help another, not the Governments place to play Robin Hood to the people of both sides of the economic scale who vote or support their way of seeing things.

When someone feels it is the governments place to have to help people in need because the citizens won't take care of each other it says a lot about the people who live in that country. If they don't care about each other enough to help their neighbor you have to ask yourself if they really deserve artificial help. They are already a nation that is doomed no matter if every person is wealthy beyond their dreams.

The point is with either Socialism or Capitolism, there will always be those in power, elected or appointed, who use the political and economic system to favor theirself or their affiliates to the point it becomes a nation that is disproportionate in fairness and wealth.

The problem is that people can't see beyond the edges of the box of "-ISMS" capitolism, socialism, facism etc. to see they are all the flip side of the same coin of man's contribed ways of controlling the masses. Give them all up and think outside the box. Of course you have to have a pretty big pair of balls to think that way. You can't be a whiner, slacker, or part of the sheeple to want to have that kind of freedom.

When someone like Carl Marx thinks the world can be a better place they automatically jump to the false conclusion that another "-ism" is what the world needs. That is where all ideas to make a better world go wrong.

You have to dismantle all the "-isms". It is easier to make a boat from scratch than it is to make a boat by thinking that you always have to rework an airplane and its parts to make a boat.

I know many of you will disagree with this but if you believe that people should be free to speak their minds instead of being silenced by proponets of "-isms" or mob rule, please respect that I responded to this post with my individual opinion that held to account all the political structures and not justthe one you subscribe to.

All opposing systems of rule over men were conceived by persons thinking that their system was great and they would be in its elite and history has proven this. Show me one kind of political, social, or economic system where its founder didn't make outlike a highway bandit. Others whodid well in that system were ones who early on kissed the top dog's ass. Perhaps the best thing a person can do is not subscribe to anyone with an "-ism" to sell them.

    Peace to you all

You're right. Workers will always have a boss and all systems nowdays support taking away a person's right to be their own boss. They condition people and set the rules so that people are fooled into believing they have to have a boss or a nanny to support them. If one subscribes to thinking that they need a boss, they will always be a worker bee.

The quote from the constitution in Meliai's posts is the key. The government is supposed to represent the citizens of this country-equally before the law without regard to amount of money held, political positions held ,personal opinions held and should be USED by us for the benefit of the majority of all law abiding people. I think most of us know that it is not serving that purpose now and has been distorted in the most grotesque manner by monied interests and those who serve them-our so-called representatives and the media that offer and repeat their self serving lies. I can't recommend an armed insurrection because after all, those who rule have the privelege of having at their disposal everything from the cops in the street(whose job description should include maintaining the status quo-for that's what their main objective is)up to and including weapons of mass destruction, which in my opinion, would be used against us if the rulers felt it necessary to do so. If we get too "uppity".Not to mention the ability and desire to change or make laws at will to maintain the bought and paid for existing power structure as they have done recently.
We,the citizens,in effect are supposed to BE the government ,but that the government has been taken away from us and is now so influenced by the greed and the ability to act on that greed free from repercussions-illustrates the bad results that capitalism ,as now practiced has. In fact it is a one way ticket to eventual destruction of all sentient beings following the inevitable chaos to come when commodities begin to be used up.
The only remedy I can see at this point is to get started on additional political parties to challenge the status quo. To get rid of all the bastards in there ,if possible, and then begin to figure out what we want this government and country to be and do. A study of some of the Scandinavian countries might be a start to getting a country that is responsible to the will of the people and seems to benefit them. Then maybe we can decide if we are going to put our young in other countries to die to benefit big business. Why are we the policemen of the world??Then maybe we can decide whether we want our education system to keep failing--failing enough to have lulled us to sleep regarding the complete take over of the institutions that are supposed to work for the many and not the "elites".
Down the line somewhere--the whole of humanity is going to have to devise a humane and equatable way of running this planet for ALL humans and lower forms of life. The way life on earth has and is unfolding now, will have to change. We can be an example if enough of us can get something done about this mess of a political system. It can either get done or the elites will show their hand--and absolutely disallow sensible change--by any means necessary. Then we'll know the future for sure and it won't be pretty. But it will be violent.

Workers will always have a boss, but they just need to realize they can be their own boss, like with mom & pop stores or democratically self managed factories and farms.

The 1% need people with honest work ethics. They need the workers that will do the best they can and go the extra mile to get the job done without complaint. The worker that takes pride in their job and will get the job done with ever smaller and smaller reward. The elite benefits from our work ethnic way more then we benefit. We have a proud value system within the working class. The elite, capitalists, those who own the means of production and the power to lend and borrow the vast amounts of capitol needed to produce goods and build property manipulate our middle class values. We no longer get a 'fair' days wages for a fair day of labor. Our labor has been marginalized and devalued by hiring illegals for minimum wages and threatening to off shore jobs while they hoard the profits and keep raising prices of goods. They manipulate our lawmakers. Look at the tax rate the worker pays and then the tax rate those with money pay.
The middle class has been taught that all our lives. Our bible stories tell us that helping each other pleases our God.
The elite or 1% believe and teach their children that compassion and caring is a sign of weakness. They need the middle class to help one another or else they'll be coming after them to pay more taxes or government to regulate their 'enterprises' which will limit profits and business models. Darwins survival of the fitest is their religion.
I'm not a religions person but I'd say Jesus of the Bible had some pretty good philosophy on social and economic systems. There are economic systems in Europe where people don't experience poverty like they do in the US and we are getting worse.
Why cant the people make constitutional laws that disallow leaders from enriching themselves thru the political system? Again, systems in Europe we need to look at. The way things are going, which is from bad to worse, and I'm afraid our children and grandchildren will be experiencing unbelievable poverty.
