I'm gonna kill this shampoo bottle!!

:( I'm doing my best to clean it out right now. Will be happy when things go back to normal but man... be very careful over which shampoo you use at all times.

    Wait...

I got a new shampoo from the store today. I couldn't find "residue free" shampoo anywhere. So I got this stuff instead.

    "Carrot Tea-Tree Oil Therapy"

Here are the ingredients: Soybean Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Walnut Seed Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Kiwi Fruit Extract, Safflower Seed Oil, and a few others I don't feel like listing. All of the ingredients seem all natural.

    Should I use this shampoo????

I figured it was the best alternative to "residue free" shampoo since there are no chemical additives. Also, I don't plan to use this that often, just every so often to clean my hair while I don't comb it for the next 6 months!

It doesn't have to be a problem, you just have to find a shampoo that works for you. If something is leaving me with residue or irritation I stop using it. Also I don't stick with something just because it's been recommended. I've tried many of the recommendations made on this forum when it comes to shampoos, some worked for me. Many didn't. Just have to work at it.

Yeah it all depends on your scalp. I started with Dr. Bronners on my 2nd set, and got a tonne of build up :/ I switched to a mix of tea tree oil, sea salt and water which worked great. That and the knotty boy bar of soap are the only things that seem to cooperate with my scalp.

    I've been using T-Gel myself. I'm around 2 months without a problem.

i use tea tree oil shampoo and i still get plenty residue.
it seems my scalp don't like it or something.

i have to massage thoroughly to get all the residue off the root of the dreads, hence... damaging the dreads. ( i hate the hairs that come off)

i think i might try a change soon.....

Bronners has always worked for me. It's all about diluting and rinsing well.
