I believe the operation of labiaplasty is a form of body modification, isn't it? But please correct me if I'm wrong! For those who don't really know what it is, this is when a woman gets her labia minora (the vaginal lips that cover the opening) cut off or made very short because they stick out or hang. Of course this surgery is useful if the labia are long to the point they HURT when you wear clothes and walk about, but we all know that most of these surgeries have been done because women are very self conscious about their lady bits due to what we see in porn. Well, you are modifying... the body. So yes. Are you thinking about getting this done? Men have their sensitive bits hanging around and they've managed to not have too much discomfort. I have a hunch that a lot of labiaplasties come from a warped sense of what a woman's labia should look like. Mostly stemming from porn. Every woman's body is different and trying to except the body and love it for what it is should always come first and really analyzing the reasons behind the desire. On a different note, I was hoping this forum was about labia piercings. I just got mine pierced last night. >.< So excited.
Yes that's true. No, it wasn't what I was thinking about personally, though I have my doubts like every other woman, it was simply to see if what the media portrays about what men like is really true. (Even though it's pretty clear that not everybody likes the same thing) I guess I wanted to hear real responses.
OIC. Yeah, I know there's a pretty big labia fetish scene as well. The stranger the better. The media usually doesn't speak about labia's lol. I think it has more to do with how you don't see foreskin much in porn, or body hair, or other naturalness that people have now been taught is uncommon, gross, weird, or icky.
It's a horrible practice. If a guy doesn't like the size of his girlfriend's pussy lips, I say he can go fuck himself. Women have to draw the line somewhere, in terms of what we're willing to do to ourselves to please men. I say this is a good place to draw it.
I don't understand any operations like that......... unless it's something that i needed, just leave it alone. I mean I could go for a breast reduction for all the medical reasons but it's scarey. To think that they could mess up.
I actually underwent this procedure. My inner labia were enormous, and the left side was substantially longer than the other. I never encountered any pain from them, but I know this can be an issue for some women. For me, I was just simply self-conscious about them and I didn't feel good about the way I looked. It was a relatively simple procedure. It is normally done in a clinic, but I had it done at the same time as my breast augmentation surgery. Healing took about two weeks before the pain mostly went away and about six weeks for I was completely healed. I am extremely happy I went through with it.
Iv'e considered having this done, i have never been with a guy before but i know i'd feel self conscious. Sometimes it can be hard to accept things about yourself i guess..
