I wanted to marry :) as did my husband, and I didn't trick him into marriage I just played it very cool in the beginning because it's a well known fact that most men are scard of commitment and run a mile if a girl holds their hand in public or whatever... So you have to do it backwards, make them see how nice a relationship is before suggesting your in one, etc...

My hubby was my best friend for a year before we hooked up, we were together 4 years before we married and we married because neither of us can imagine life without the other and so that we could be a family for our kids.

It's true though, in those beginning stages of being a couple, you have to play your cards right :)

And what's wrong with being 'clingy' (though I don't think I am, I have a pretty varied social life away from my hubby) actually there is nothing wrong with it, there is someone for everybody and one persons 'clingy' is another persons attentive... Someone can think they are being cool and independent and someone else can view that as detached and unloving...

Just be who you are, someone will come along for ya (and then you'll understand why people want to get married :sunny: )

I hope you're trolling. Do [other] girls really think this?

In the good old days, we used to, as men, club females over the head and drag them back to our cave. Now, in modern society, we dance and frolic in their holy presence in hopes that we "pass" their strict judgement. Women have the privelage to choose and reject AND the liberty of not having to do shit.

:beatdeadhorse5: Something seriously wrong with this.

Anyways, on a positive note, in the end, interaction itself during the present moment is fairly free of such negative things. I went to a party recently with this thread in mind and had a good time. Though there are some fundamental things I would like to imagine differently, I think...or I hope I will find a happy place in it all, or the closest thing possible.

Thats the problem with women, they all spout off about how bad they want that but when the Guy is actually receptive, then they flip a switch and suddenly the Guy is too sweet and they dont feel they deserve him or they just freak themselves out.

I'm also tired of being approached by women who then later turn around and become too self conscious of their own perceived flaws and fall prey to the same self-pity programming our culture seems to support so well.

OP obviously isn't open to new opinions, or allowing women to defend themselves. Just know, you aren't going to find a decent woman with that attitude, or if you treat her like she's a pariah. Maybe it's your subconscious telling you that you're gay. I don't know.

What I do know is there are a lot of people happily married to wonderful women, but you don't see that in the media. Someone's got to be satisfied with their relationship with women, because people are still getting married. Maybe keeping an open mind would behoove you.

I've been in a relationship for over a year and a half, and my boyfriend and I still shower each other in compliments, and he tells me I'm a wonderful girlfriend every day.

Its the wrong type of arrogance. He's talking about them not putting an effort into the relationship, they should be at his beckon call. He's the its the 1950s come on woman get in there and make me a sandwich type arrogance, and probably in the end will end up with a very submissive girl.

Whereas with my team it would be the Pffft, I can make a sandwich better than any chic can, arrogance: Take off the crusts, toast it the right way, add a little bit of prosciutto, cos I can remember all foods with more than two syllables cos I don't have to concentrate in standing in 4" heels at the same time or worry about the heaviness of my flow, a few capers for zing, a little parsley for garnish, and on a blue rimmed plate to contrast the garnish

I know it can kind of seem the same in a way, as both types are pretty arrogant, but its really about opposing ends of the spectrum.

Hahaha I never wear heels ever (bad for your knees and hard to drive a van)

The only difference between men and women are fannys, penis and boobs. That's it, when
People start realising that and realising that they only need to find a best friend who they can also procreate with, then they will start having some luck ;)

And what is it with all the Women actively seeking abuse these days?

Is this something in the food chain or some industrial pollutant affecting the brain or what? It's like the freaking flu around here.
