Noticed this in a few friends. Particularly heavy smokers of both the usual substances.

People I know often skip breakfast because of it. Some have a morning throw up in the shower.

I think its a combination of things:

    1. we build up dirt in the air passages, once the mucous start flowing again its hitting our gag reflex as it flows out of your lungs.

    2. weed is an anti emetic so an absence of weed in the system will be emetic as our body adjusts.

I actually have asthma attacks when I dont smoke weed.. Cannabis helps me catch my breath, or rather controls my breathing..

I only smoke weed. havent smoked tobacco in years. ever since i can remembered after i started toking up, that i cant eat breakfast. if i do, i can do fruit or a shake. i cant do heavy meat or cheeses.. if i know im gonna say go out for breakfast, or i have breakfast plans with the family, i wake up extra early and start smoking continuously till we get there. up until recently ive been able to stomach food smells in the morning, but thats probably coz i have a 3 year old niece and i have to cook for her in the mornings, and i occasionally make my bro in law breakfast to take for work. before my cheesy poof was around, i used to start my day with a nice smoking sesh and incense with classical music and candlelight. now its curious george, baby talk and egg smells. lol

I have noticed that same no eating in the morning thing in several of my stoner friends. ive been known to set an alarm at 4 am to eat a cannabis cap to be high when i wake up at 7 am. with the munchies.

The only problem smoking lots of marijuana can give me in the morning is that I stay in bed when I shouldn't :p I rarely wake 'n bake anymore, I rather wake up first and have a cig after my breakfast.

I used to get it when i was a rampant drug addict. These days im a lot more controlled and can eat breakfast fine.

It was good to wake and bake to stimulate the appetite

I used to get it when I was smoking a lot more pot, but since easing up on the drug side of things, all has become a distant memory

I always hated waking up in the morning, even before I started smoking but if I've been smoking a lot, i'll be feeling that weedover. Occasionally, I feel so sick in the morning that I could slash my nuts off and jump out of the window. It gets that bad sometimes but i'm sure that's because of the booze. On average, I'd say half of the week I wake up feeling like this but it passes so it's not that shitty and I can sleep in till it passes which isn't a bad thing.

I blame the fact I feel sick most mornings on anxiety and bad eating habits. I've always been like this, particularly during periods in which I'm feeling stressed, even long before I started smoking weed. If anything, the weed helps it. I can't usually eat breakfast immediately after I fall out of bed, but after a bowl and a couple of hours, I can eat. And so I do usually get 2 or 3 meals a day, just sometimes later than what people normally refer to as breakfast or lunch or dinner, lol.

I've never had a hangover from weed. When I was younger my brain would feel like it had cobwebs in the morning but I don't get that anymore either.

I had a pretty severe case of asthmatic bronchitis last year, I had like a two day asthma attack before I even went to the doctor and during that time weed was the only thing that could make me feel better. I don't know if it helped me breathe better or just relaxed me so I wasn't panicking about not being able to breathe

Do you think it could be from all the shit you eat the previous night from a bout of the munchies ?

^ this is true. For the past 2 weeks I've been not eating anything at all past 9pm and I haven't been waking up with an upset stomach like I usually do.
