I haven't watched it in years. It still holds up though. Watching it as a grown up you do notice a few things you don't when you're younger though. There are gay undertones, and even a suicide. Weird.

I thought he was trying to escape, but no... suicide. The fucked up thing is that the guy that directed this movie directed Cars too... You'd never see such a morbid subject in this day and age put forth in a cartoon.
I have not seen this film in i dont know how long. As a kid when you see that a cartoon has a personality, and that part of it relates to you through out the story you become attached. Now we have this scence were the very characters whos personality we came to enjoy is being crushed. We are now "worthlessssss" and be turned into little cubes....worthlesssss. Crazy, i need to watch these old school movies again. Its been ages.
It's always interesting looking back on old movies you watched as a kid. You notice a lotta things you didn't before, some of which may not be to your liking...
Maybe a year ago I worked at a daycare and was asked by the owner to rent a movie for the kids on my way there. When I brought in the little toaster, none of the kids wanted to watch it at all because it wasn't flashy and new enough. Used to love that movie when I was a kid. Felt very disappointed in those kids that day.
