it's like its own ecosystem.. subtropical, at +-20C every day of the year. brick walls regulate the heat. skunks and groundhogs have lived underneath. mice/rats always in the walls. the ones that leave are kept in check by the animals we choose to keep.
bats and squirrels make surprise appearences every now and then.

even blind retarded mice that have flippers for paws and all they can do is run in a circle and slurp water with their deformed mouth/snout. i shit you not.

I liked that series a lot.
