An Egyptian woman has won a case against the country's military after she was forced to undergo a so called "virginity test".

This "virginity test" must be one of the most degrading thing that man can do a woman .Its barbaric and totally uncalled for , flip i thought we were living in 2011 not 1011

I knew an egyptian girl who had to get reconstructive surgery on her hymen because it had been broken by the tampons she was using. Under threat of her male siblings, otherwise she would be "filthy" and "useless" to any man.

We can only hope that civilisation reaches the Middle East at some point. They used to have it once you know. At some stage they all became terrified of women and decided to treat them worse than farmyard animals. Any totally male dominated society will fail. Any society that treats is women like third class citizens will fail. Any society which treats any human being worse than they would treat a dog will fail.
Its just a question of when.
I cannot wait. I do try not to hate people - but I do hate this shit and the people who maintain such archaic and barbaric customs.

yeah i dont know why everyone applauds the egyptian revolution while turning a blind eye to the things in their culture that badly need fixing.

Its like people who absolutely worship America's founding fathers because they championed freedom and the rights of "all" men, but meanwhile didn't give women rights and owned slaves.

This is so untrue there's nothing in Egyptian law says that, just for your information there' nothing called whipping in egypt

what happened to her and the other girls wasn't for knowing if they are virgins or not this no body's concern what if they are not virgins? this is not the real reason . it was a sexual assault just a way to make them feel humiliated for taking action against the regime.
i'm not saying that egyptian society is not a sexist society but this is another story.
men get sexually assaulted and raped in prisons as well.

SCAF (the supreme council of armed forces) is trying to humiliate and take revenge of everyone who took part in the revolution. they don't want egypt to do any better. they want to keep the corruption and ignorance just the same
