Ordering seeds online is not an option for me but I've tried several store bought brands and have yet to have a single sprout. How long do they take to sprout? Will Alabama winters be okay? Today was like 60 F but the day before was like 30. Should I bury them or just sprinkle them of top of the soil?

They like cool areas, and are tough for some people to grow. They should sprout fast under optimal conditions. They need lots of space between plants and do not like to be transplanted at all. I sprinkle on top of dirt and water through them to make them sink a little.
