Anyone have experience with this stuff? I've happened across this and wonder if it's worth even messing with. I've been curious, but am finding mixed reviews online.
That shit is so bad for you, it's not even remotely similar to the real stuff, and it put me in the hospital. No thanks.
What happened that you needed to go to the hospital?! That sucks! FWIW, I prefer weed and am not looking to replace it, I use it for medical reasons. But, free is free and I have been curious about the 'incenses' out there.
They don't tell you what is in the chemical mixture, for one. Whatever I smoked was something that one of my siblings bought at a local tobacco shop and was supposidly harmless, one of my sisters friends got sick and I got so sick that I had actually passed out while standing straight up, I fell directly forewards movie style into a computer chest and cracked one of my ribs. So I suppose that the smoke itself didn't put me in the hospital, but the consequences of it did. While weed itselv makes me very sick for some reason (body temperature increase, heart rate increase, skin discoloration, vomiting, the shakes, boiling chest feeling, short of breath whether smoked, vaped, eaten, etc) this stuff actually made me and plenty of others so sick, and I'm sure there are others out there who it's also made sick, mostly due to the fact that you really don't know what you're consuming. If you can have weed for medical purposes, then stick with what you know. Edit: I will try to find the article that I read that this stuff can be addicting physically on top of mentally (a lot of people have a mental addiction to weed, generally not physical though) and it is possible to overdose on it, depending on what's in it and how much you have blah blah, I'll look it up and post it for you. But like I said, it all depends because what is in brand x might not necessarily be the same as what's in brand y.
I smoked some that I've had for months last weekend and got a reminder of why I don't fool with it anymore. I don't like any of the synthetic cannabinoids.
I think the physical addiction that gets talked about is only affecting a few people. I work in a shop that sells some of these products and last year I did an experiment. I smoked my first bowl at 10am and continued to mantain that same high until 6pm five days a week for 3 months. After 3 months I'd decided that I would give it up, so I did, and what do ya know, absolutly no addiction. Other than being temped because its sitting in a cabinet next to me for 9 hours a day I had no thoughts of smoking any. I'm not saying the stuff is good for you, how can it be? But I think a few people having problems with it make it look like alot of people have problems with it, and thats simply not true. You'll find alot of people that complain of nasty side effects also have bad reations to cannabis(I witnessed it on this forum today, one poster that is complaining of adverse reactions has also posted elsewhere that they had a bad reation to cannabis, they thought it was laced) or they have never smoked cannabis and are not ready for they heavy buzz you get from synthetics and have a panic attack. Some people just smoke way to much because its legal and then of course you end up greening out. Dont blame the product, either smoke with a bit of caution, or if you have adverse reactions, dont smoke at all, simple really.
The biggest danger with these chems is they have never been studied. The same is true of any RC and the cannabinoids are no different. I have a decent amount of experience with various blends, although I never bothered to seek out the pure compounds. Most of the blends will fuck you up if you try to smoke them like they're weed. You really only need a tiny, tiny bit. I've sworn it off though, after reading a few horror stories on Bluelight.
Smoked the "K2" branded stuff for some time. Yeah gotta take it easy, it's also more rigid of a high. Because of that it's more likely to give you panic attacks. Tolerance also ramps up faster. Best bet is to stay away if you aren't worried with testing.
This is the truth. To everyone who's saying to close the thread, I think you should be a little more open minded. Perhaps this shouldn't be in stoner's lounge, and rather in synthetic drugs, but the information about these things is useful, and the use of them is just as justifiable as the use of any rc, which we talk a lot about in these forums. There's no reason to close the thread. People should know about these blends. There are serious dangers involved and the more information there is out there, the better people can be informed. If anyone is interested in trying these things, I can tell you from a lot of experience, that they do work, and they do produce a somewhat enjoyable experience. You should just be very very careful. Take one or two hits, and wait ten minutes. With most of these blends you will have a good effect from this for an hour or two. There are negative side affects from excessive use, but if you use these blends responsibly there's no reason that you should end up in the hospital. Personally, after a long time of using these blends because I couldn't smoke weed, I came to the ultimate decision that they aren't worth the high, and that I would rather just wait until I can smoke weed again, but other people like them, and I'm not one to deny anyone something that they enjoy. So have fun, but be careful.
Close the thread? why, what is wrong with discussing synthetic cannabanoids? I thought this was a free speech forum and closing a thread because a few people don't like the drug being discussed sounds a lot like censorship to me.
