first off, if you havent seen the film Magic Trip, stop reading this and go watch it on Netflix or whatever you can.

in the film Magic Trip, Ken Keasy says, after taking copious amounts of LSD over the span of five years or so, that its time for people in general to graduate from LSD. he said that you dont necessarily stop taking LSD but you stop taking the same trips. this really got me thinking about what it is people do while on psychedelics and what it is to do one, any kind of psych. i dont want to attribute the whole psychedelic revolution to Keasy and his "merry band of pranksters" but they had a large and lasting influence on the scene.

now, think about the sixties and what all happened, it was modern man's first trip. people talk of shared energy and things of the sort while on psychs and of a mass consciousness. well, what Ive been thinking is that we as a species never graduated. keasy marked the time in which we should have moved on, but we didnt. we got stuck and the world reflects that. its rare to find any psychonaut that looks past the intrapersonal experiences and spiritual aspects, the areas that have been picked apart time and time again.

now, think about your own experiences. most of us, myself included, go through a phase when we're first introduced to the drug and just wanna do it as much as we can; really get to know how we interact with the drug. this is what I consider to be the sixties and the brief period following. our personal experiences are reflected by history, and present times. its no longer what we can gain from a trip, thats already been done, but how it can be implemented for the greater good I suppose. we dont experience psychedelics on a personal level but more so universal, we believe it to be personal because we are limited to our immediate perception of the world; just as we are at any point, regardless. so, in being limited, we are exposed to the fact that even though we're individuals it is very tough for us to think beyond ourselves, hence ego loss while on psychs and further insists that its time for us to think and use psychedelics in a new way.

reading over this, I dont think Im explaining myself very well, been a tough thought for me to iron out but lay those opinions on me
