Me and my friend desperately would like to work a little in a different country in Europe over the months of june and july.

We could work as receptionists in a hotel, waitress or walk around in town and hand out flyers... Stuff like that, you know. We don´t want to earn a lot of money, we just want to afford to live in a different country for a couple of weeks.

Countries we where thinking of are Spain (even Mallorca, Ibiza, etc), Ukraine, Romania, Germany, Italy, Malta, Greece (yeah; I know, probably not the best time to look up jobs there atm...), Portugal, France, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium...

If there would be amazing opportunities in England or Ireland, I guess we would consider those too!

We got a lot of time to plan this, that´s a plus I hope. But I have no idea where to start; and I would appreciate it if somebody could share their similar experience and maybe come with some advice!

For starters we all speak english, fluently.. And I speak both, German (German mother), Swedish(Swedish father) , English and French. My friend speak Swedish, English and some spanish... So I guess, that COULD be a plus, especially when applying for jobs at hotels?

We have finished school, I´m not sure if a diploma is of any interest when looking into jobs like these?

Is there a good site on the internet where I could look up jobs, or should I google random hotels and ask If they need any help?

I know it sounds a little naïve and all, but we´re really serious about this. We JUST decided to do this, so I´ve really not done any research at all yet.

I would love to hear some comments and advice! Feel free to say that this sounds stupid as well, maybe this is just a bad idea?

    Peace and Love :daisy:

For work in quite a few European countries (I know for a fact, Ireland), you'll need a work visa in order to get a job. Unless you can find someone to hire you "under the table", so to speak. You'll want to be sure to apply for that soon, if you want to go this summer (from what I remember, it takes a while). I haven't looked into it too closely, but definately do some research on what is required to get a job. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember something about having a residence in order to get a work permit.

    Good luck to you!
