I have left my best boots at home. Bare foot i walk. Unarmed and vulnerable.
My mind still trips over the same old uncertain edge.

The small of my back captured, he guides me along a path of broken glass. Lips are pressed close and it doesnt matter anymore. Any sort of real danger is long gone. Fear has become a child’s play thing and the jagged edge which cuts into my conscience has already been worn smooth.

Dance, he whispers from somwhere near my neck, for the terrible monster is now gone, and do return to your table my dear. Oh look how cold your dinner has become!

Thoughts which once possesed now bore. I am having trouble finding any sort of appeal in this meager meal.
What is there left in taking tender bites out of the very hand that feeds me. Did hunger ever really encompass in the first place?

Worded thoughts quickly quirk brows. His own mouth very much full, he exclaims, My love! If this substance never fueled you in the first place, why didnt you merely stop eating? I was a wonder why you had become so round!

Eating has now become a thing of the past and starvation is my reward. Blistered toes and bloodied soles. Weak you are, if you can not even handle this much.

My own hunger gone, the days grow dull.

Me forgotten, i have now taken to surveying your bodies as they crash against each other in search of your very own paths lined with broken bottles.

And where is the man who has forgotten his shoes in the backyard? Surely he too is somewhere here in this crowd?
And what will i have offer him when we finally step on each others toes? Youth? Gold? Dressed up words?

    No?

Perhaps i will give him my love.

..and maybe ask what it was like to eat. Oh darling, do tell me. I barely remember it at all.

This is the first time i written a complete poem. I would like it if you could give me some tips and pointers on it. Maybe have a go at trying to figure out what its about.
