    Hey everybody,

This is not that big of a deal, but I've got a question on anyone who had this same experience.
I've got this new forearm tattoo and the healing process is quite different from what I have experienced before with my other tattoos. Not only it hurts like fu*k, but it just feels like real open wound (I know tattoo basicaly is open wound, but this just feels like 10 times worse than the other ones). I've never experienced this with my other tattoos. Every time I get blood rushed into my hand (when I bend over or to grab something from the ground) I get quite intense pain in the forearm. So my first thaught was "infection", but it just doesn't look like it at all, it's a bit swollen, a bit irritated, but that's just normal. So basicaly all i need to hear is, that this amount of pain is normal sometimes and I don't need to rush to the doctor's tomorrow. Anyone?

OK, not that anyone cares, lol, but my forearm is successfully healing, it wasn't an infection, it was probably just really deep. Though I still think that it's healing a bit wierd, at least now I can move my arm and it doesn't hurt like hell.

My brother got a tattoo a few weeks ago on his upper arm and he experienced the same sort of things...he said it felt like his skin was pulling away whenever he moved the arm.

I think that small infections are possible but I'm sure they heal. If it was a traditional tattoo, it will probably feel that way for a long time, since that is much deeper and more like an open wound.

    Glad its getting better! :D

The reason why you felt that way during the healing process was because your tattoo artist went too deep. When they go to deep it feels like your muscles are tearing apart. ether that or you got a lot of shading done because, shading hurts like a bitch lol

Any sunburn? Or insect bites? It can happen, if something bites you IN the tattoo, it sometimes gets weird and itchy. Tho, if it gets worse you should see at least some experienced tattoo artist if not the one who did it, they can tell most of the times what's wrong and if you should see a doctor right away (or go straight to the doctor, it's up to you).

But most of the times it's the biting or the sunburn.
